Re: 2010 Draft Revisited by And1
<t>Q - I also thought Evan Turner was a can't miss and would have given up assets to get him. I have to also admit that I thought Wes Johnson would be a great offensive player with limited defensive skills. He seemed like a pretty safe pick and I never imagined he would be a bust.<br/> <br/> It's re...

Re: Wolves offseason breakdown
<t>I love these off-season grades. I know everyone does it because it's entertaining - but we really don't get our grades, our bonuses, our dismissals, until we've performed.<br/> <br/> Yahoo FF grades their drafts now. It's speculative, it's entertaining, and it speaks to how much we desire feedbac...

Re: McCollum vs. Muhammad, revisited
<t>I'm not so sure anyone anywhere has the ability to predict NBA success based on college statistics, let alone anyone on this board. It is fun to speculate - but that stats would have suggested that players like Danny Ferry, Stomile Swift, and Michael Beasley would have at least been very good NBA...

Re: Now vs Then
I think Brewer will start - We have a lot of flexibility in what Adelman can do with 1-4. You could also run an all tall-skinny lineup with Shved, Brewer, Martin, Johnson and Deing. 5 guys that total 30 feet and only 1,000 lbs - that's impressive.

Have you ever seen a defensive stopper come out of UCLA? It's not taught.

Re: NBA League Pass
<t>I've purchased the League Pass through DirecTV for the past 8 years or so and I've loved it. You get the broadband service with the TV package on Directv and it's around 180 if you order at the beginning of the year - and 1/2 that after February.<br/> <br/> Frankly I watch more games in the first...

Re: Shabazz Expelled From NBA Rookie Transition Program
<t>One more other note - Bazz is going to be brought along slowly and that's the reason he has so much upside. Kevin Martin was not highly thought of coming out of college - he had less upside than Bazz - but Adelman taught him the NBA game and by his third year he had learned how to score and play ...

Re: Shabazz Expelled From NBA Rookie Transition Program
<t>One more note on this . . . There are a slew of successful players who made stupid mistakes in their NBA careers (Carmello, Mario Chalmers, Barkley, Kidd, etc . . . . . ) and because they didn't compound the mistakes by repeating them or making the papers too often they were pretty much forgotten...

Re: Wolves and Pek Reach Agreement
This is pretty much what we thought it was going to be all along - I think this elongated negotiation was more about Pek sitting out of the Euro League than it was coming to terms.

Re: Big deal? Or not so much?
<t>Yeah - we've always lead the league in travel and that was one of the factors the NBA was looking at about 5 years ago when there were rumors that they considered moving us to the Eastern Conference.<br/> <br/> But monster is right that the travel is pretty easy these days - chartered buses and c...
