Re: Slo-Mo is coming home!

Well, I'm not sure how much he's got left in the tank, but at least we know he can pass, defend bigs, and take a punch. Seriously though, this is at least some injury insurance. If one of our bigs went down, especially Rudy, that could really be it for us unfortunately. Beringer is exciting but too...

These f-ing passes are driving me nuts

You probably know what I'm talking about. It's these half-assed one-handed underhand scoop passes I've seen our guys tossing to each other the last month or two. Ant, Donte, Jaden, Julius. I've seen them all do it. I don't know if they think they're getting some kind of advantage by tossing it like ...

Re: Welcome to the NBA Joan! Sixers @ Wolves GDT

Man, that short Beringer stint in that Mavs game was fun! He really can defend well. He's beefed up since last summer, but yeah, big guys like Embiid or Jokic will likely bully him until he gets an even stronger base. It feels a little greedy to wish he were just an inch or two taller, since that wo...

Re: What would make this season a success?

I think these definitions of success are all basically legit. Finish 3rd. Get to the WCF and at least be competitive there or go further. Obviously, the goal is the whole enchilada. Anything is possible! I also like some of the more process-oriented goals hinted at here. Let's see some more promisin...

Re: Mike Conley is back

Ballhandling, injury insurance. . . what do you guys think is the team's biggest need going forward?

Re: The draft and tanking

This is one of my favorite perennial topics. First, I do think the league made positive steps with the play-in games and the flattened odds. I do like the ideas of: 1) flattening the odds just a touch more 2) allowing teams to get jumped by more teams in the lottery (you shouldn't be guaranteed a to...

Re: Glutton for punishment Hawks @ Wolves GDT

I haven't gotten into these on/off numbers that make Ayo look bad, but his raw stats and efficiency stats seem good, the Bulls fans are pretty pissed about losing him, and just watching him indicates the dude is pretty good and brings good energy--at least these first few games. He's not super tall,...

Re: Mike Conley is back

Why does Conley get minutes? Dane has reported that Finch has been frustrated by Bones and Clark not knowing where to be on the floor. I get how you might rather give minutes a guy who does, even if he's a diminished player. But that's a band aid at best, and the band aid is getting soggy. If we wan...
