Re: Another new owner incoming
A couple things from all the reading and podcasts I have listened to on the situation. (Lip has actually covered a lot of this) - Adding Bloomberg means nothing when it comes to arbitration with Glen. The A Rod/Lore camp now having more money does not effect the situation at all when it comes to ar...

Re: Another new owner incoming
That doesn't make sense. Anyone that owns the team by definition has the resources to move it. And in fact they often get help by the city they are moving it to in the form of generous incentives. As long as the Wolves keep winning and have Ant around, I don't see any move happening in the foreseea...

Re: Looking Ahead to 2024-25 Season
I don't want any non-shooters in the rotation unless his name is Rudy Gobert. We are wasting Ant's biggest gift by constantly having him out there with players that allow the other team to plant a big in the paint. Rudy is one of those guys, but he does so many other things well that we need to kee...

Re: Another new owner incoming
Why do you think Bloomberg would want to move the team and where do you think he'd move it to? He seems to pride himself on being kind of a visionary, so maybe... https://www.cnn.com/style/article/telosa-marc-lore-blake-ingels-new-city/index.html Ha! Re: Looking Ahead to 2024-25 Season
One problem with letting Kyle go is he can be signed to a significant, dollar amount, contract that the Wolves can not give to any other player. With the now present cap limitations on the team, resigning Kyle has strategic advantages, if the team is willing to pay for it. He could be retained and ...

Re: Another new owner incoming
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5545916/2024/06/06/michael-bloomberg-marc-lore-alex-rodriguez-ownership/ This is the best article I’ve seen explaining the ownership situation. It looks like Bloomberg is in only for the limited amount needed to buy Taylor’s last 20% share before March 2025 when Lor...

Re: Another new owner incoming
This is great news. There will be a mountain of money behind this team. Luxury tax, shmuxury tax! No way this portents a move to NY. They already have 2 teams. This can only be good news. Pretty sure the word "portents" hasn't appeared since the ESPN board days... While I agree with the g...

Re: Time to talk offseason.
What are the chances of getting Jaquez and Herro from Miami for KAT or Rudy? Clearly not for KAT with Butler on the team. For those who question the lack of PnR with Ant/Rudy, I believe it has more to do with a limitation on Rudy's part. I think Rudy is fine catching lobs and dunking when the ball ...

Re: Time to talk offseason.
Rudy for Murray/Capela clears the trade machine, reuniting Qun Snyder and Gobert. I know you can’t aggregate outgoing salaries under the second apron, but can you aggregate incoming salaries? You could sweeten the deal with NAW, but didn't Snyder quit the Utah job? Maybe he didn't like his personne...
