There are three teams tied with 38 losses. Whoever comes out on top gets the Suns in the first round. Makes you wonder if we could seem some tanking to get out of the 5th seed! Lakers are listing LeBron and AD as questionable for tonight's game against the Clippers.
It's a balancing act. Avoid the 5th seed, but avoid the play-in as well.
Jim Mora playoffs thread
Re: Jim Mora playoffs thread
I think I saw an athletic article this morning suggesting the same thing, Tim. I guess it's strategic, but any kind of tanking to get into a playoff matchup you think might be more favorable seems very candy ass to me. I hope it backfires on whatever team(s) do it (unless it helps us!)

I don't think any team in that group is going to tank any games. With only a few games left, the margin for error is WAY too thin. All those teams could end up 9th and none of them wants to risk going through two play-in rounds to make the playoffs just to avoid playing the Suns. Any of them could easily finish 8th and that doesn't sound very attractive. The Lakers might be thinking that no matter where they finish, it's critical to have AD and LeBron as healthy and rested as possible. Maybe playing them tonight would risk further injury. There's no tanking going on among the 38-loss teams right now.

You did! Some good sleuthing, I think by Cam, discovered that FNG is in fact the reincarnation of LST!

Ya FNG is LST. I found this out with FNG said he tweeted at Jon K. So I looked at the tweet and the handle was LST
