Wow, a historically bad start to the season for Wiggins and Oubre. When you factor in their play with their contracts it's just been heinous to watch.

Bobby Portis had 12 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block last night against the Warriors. He also scored 10 points on 5-9 shooting from the field.

As we know, Portis signed with the Bucks for significantly less than the Wolves are paying Juancho. But I suppose it's just a matter of time before Juancho hits his stride. Moreover, while Juancho hasn't been scoring and has struggled to make uncontested layups, at least he gives us a defensive presence.

Brooklyn is impressive. Now this is a team with depth in the way I define it, which means after their two stars (Durant and Kyrie) they still have a ton of quality at 3-8 with Harris, LaVert, Jordan, Allen, Shamet, and Dinwiddie. I'm not sure the Wolves at full strength from 1-6 is as good as Brooklyn's 3-8. Obviously KAT stands out, but after that I give the edge to Brooklyn. And again, that's excluding Durant and Irving!

Dallas looks pretty pedestrian thus far. Doncic is awesome, but he is the only threat to make a play with the ball in his hands. It seems like it's easier to game plan around one primary creator when there is such a big dropoff after that.

I'm watching the Hawks/Grizzlies game on NBATV and had two thoughts.

1. This is the kind of game the Wolves need their fellow playoff contenders in the Western Conference to lose.

2. I still think there are trade possibilities between Atlanta and Minnesota. Both teams have some oddly built rosters with a surplus of talent at a few positions.

Atlanta and the Kings both seem to have a glut of forwards. But do their PF's fit our system?

I'd imagine that all of John Collins, DeAndre Hunter, and Danilo Gallinari from the Hawks do as well as Nemanja Bjelica and Harrison Barnes from the Kings do. Obviously, the value differs among all of them, but all of them would provide a huge upgrade to what the Wolves currently have.
