I realize that guys don't have to be good human beings or righteous in any way to be productive on the hardwood. It's always an added bonus, but it's not 100-percent necessary.

So, this particular incident with Malik Beasley is morally wrong and another bad headline involving him and this franchise, but it doesn't bother me as much as the story that got him arrested several weeks ago. That is the much bigger issue, in my opinion, and should have been leveraged into a more team-friendly deal for Minnesota. He's certainly not making anyone feel like he's any less of a risk.

I agree. Let a man make his choices. Though not when they actually break the law, which he did.

But ... can we void this contract? No man should be rewarded, nor trusted, when pulling this bullshit.

He literally put a smile on, struck a contract, and gave the middle finger to our FO. That is not only alarming on behalf of Malik, but also who is in charge.

He's out here moving sloppy, but as long as he plays good basketball I don't care. He got higher powers to deal with in regards to this but as long as it doesn't affect him playing ball, then live your life Malik.

This was a place where Glen needed to make a stand and didn't.

It is one thing to have a good team with a good core and just needs that one piece to take you over the top to be a contender or champion, but this team is not that. Not even close. This smells like a Rosa trying to save his job move.

Things are taking shape nicely. The Wolves may not fit in with the old school world of basketball where wins and losses matter. But for the 365/24/7 gossip news cycle of the new NBA built for casual fans... the Wolves are dominating!

Kardashian connections everywhere!

THIS is what really gets an old hoophead like me excited to cheer for this young, unproven team known for its immaturity and lack of intensity.

YES!!!!!

I finally saw the photo of Malik with Larsa.

It's not the immorality that troubles me as a Wolves fan. It's more the arrogance and stupidity. There's a brazen detachment from reality reflected in Beasley's behavior that is really disconcerting.

It would be one thing to shack up with Larsa discreetly in a hotel room. But to walk hand-in-hand during the day on a crowded Miami street is the behavior of someone who doesn't believe any of the rules of life apply to him - someone who just does whatever he wants whenever he wants to. I'm sure there are a lot of NBA players who cheat on their wives, but they do it in the shadows because they understand there are potential consequences that go along with others finding out. But those NBA players probably aren't pointing guns at passing families or their own children, much less both. Beasley seems detached from reality in a fundamentally disturbing way.

Players with moral failings, including infidelity, can still be great players and great teammates. Magic Johnson is one example among many. But I can't say the same for players who completely suspend reality in the arrogant conviction that they have absolutely no limits and no regard for potential consequences. That's not the sort of person you can trust or count on for anything.

Don't leave Russell out of this.

Maybe he can download photos and videos for us directly... or at least leak them to TMZ.

None of this would be a problem if we had a stable organization with good leadership from the top down. We don't have that so these issues add up to having a team full of immature millionaires who's only saving grace is to do the one thing none of them have done which is win basketball games. When you don't take care of business on the court all the off court bullshit starts to add up and continue to infect the organization. We've got a really young number 1 pick in Anthony Edwards who needs some professionals around him to help him become a real pro and we got a team full of TMZ stars. These guys need to be responsible for more than just handling their own business. They now need to be leaders for Edwards, Culver, Vanderbuilt, McDaniels, etc. to help those guys as well. It's a team game. You can't have everyone on the team just focus on themselves because then you just have a bunch of individuals playing basketball next to each other.

But at least they're all on the same timeline.
