This class is weak at the top (excluding Simmons and Ingram), but pretty deep actually. There will be some good players available in the late first round and early second round. I don't know whether a 45th pick overall will matter much, but I'd think our original pick at 35 or 36 would be able to land someone who has the potential to develop into a rotation player.

Glen could probably open his wallet and buy a pick from 50-60 and maybe even a few picks earlier but if he doesn't I won't mind too much at this point. I like adding cheap young talent but idk about adding another rookie to the team. Paying for a pick for an international player to stash sounds pretty good though.

Our 2016 and 2017 2nd rounders are gone fulfilling the Wes Johnson trade.
It sucks we don't have a 2nd, but we will be adding a top 7 pick and don't have minutes for a 2nd rounder. It would be nice to Eurostash, but we have not been successful with that.

i'd say the (half glass full) Wolves have some positive momentum on the stashing of international players. Bjelica and Dubs are both guys at the very least that have trade value right now and both guys have aspects that fit very well into what the Wolves need which is nice.

Wolves actually have had some decent success with pek, dub, Bjelica and they did draft mirotic
Speaking of Dubs, I wonder if the Wolves will bring him over next season? I'm not sure how he fits, but it seems like you can never have enough quality bigs. He's had a nice season in Europe and is yet another guy that can knock down 3's.

Good point, but I am not worrying about ti to much in this draft. We can't treat them like throw away picks moving forward that is for sure, but start making the playoffs and picking 50th I do see them having much value. Not like they do when they are top 31-40 picks

It turns out he signed an extension with his team in Europe last summer so he won't be able to come over for another year. It's too bad he could give the Wolves some girth and 3 point shooting. He seems to have improved again this year. Rebounding trending up a bit more scoring per minute is way up and his FT rate is up suggesting teams are having a big problem defending him. He turns 25 in October. If the Wolves were to take a talented big in this draft they could have a nice problem a few months later with too many bigs with legit talent. Sounds good right?
