Re: Wolves offseason thread
One thing that changed was how he held the ball in traffic. I recall that he used to cup the ball like a running back, then he started to just hold the ball. I think hes got big hands, but he just didn't snatch the ball. We see that with his rebounds too. Id make him catch footballs all off season with jimmy.

Some important work being done by Dieng.

G has been doing super cool work for a while now. This is the only good thing about his contract. Hahaha. But seriously, I think there is a great thing to be said for how good of a guy he is.

I agree, Doper. Thanks to Monster for posting this. It's hard not to like the guys on our team. Not a bad apple in the bunch and a lot of good eggs, including Gorgui.

I agree. For how frustrating the wolves can be on the court what they do off the court is really amazing.
Shout out to gorgui, Crawford, Jimmy, Aldrich and MGH for all they did this season off the court especially.
In the end they use their platform for good

What work has MGH been doing? I missed that.
Here is an article from a few months ago with even more details about Gorgui's work. Its really impressive what he is doing. Honestly I'm not going to complain again about that contract even if it does negatively affect this team.

He did a ton of work with the boys and girls club in the cities.

Cool thanks for the info. I don't know how it was the last few weeks but it seemed like early on in the season Jimmy showed some affinity towards him.

As much as I like the progress Belly made last year you absolutely can't pay him and really don't want him back because come playoff time he's a non difference maker. We need defenders first and foremost because guys that can make and want to take shots on this team are already in place. Stellar defense is not in place, guys like T. Jones, J. Crawford, & Belly that lacked defense and didn't make up for it on the other end enough need to be replaced with defenders. I hope to see J. Patton stay healthy and make a big jump in year two but not holding my breath on him or the front office adding good defenders :(

Personally I think this is a bit harsh but even though I'm a big fan of Belly he just hasn't been consistent enough to be a guy you can count on part of that is due to some injuries. If you can bring him back at the right number it's a no brainer. He is the type of guy that can help this team as a versatile guy that can hit the 3. IMO he can play enough D in the playoffs. I hope he is a guy no team really priotizes and we can bring him back for a decent number even if it's just a 1 year deal.
