Let's get this party started....sleep is overrated! Lakers GDT

We have our usual wide range of predicted wins...18 to 49. Welcome to the crazy world of Wolves Fandom!

Tonight should tell us a little about whether Abe or Maelstrom is more prescient. The Lakers are 3 1/2 point favorites, and guys like KAT and Belly will be a little intimidated by the always raucous Staples Center crowd. But Flip's death may give the emotional edge to the Wolves, and I think these teams are close enough in talent that emotion wins the day. It should be fun.

Byron Scott has seen what many of us have seen...that Russell is not ready to start in the NBA. So Clarkson gets the start at PG, Kobe moves to SG, and Anthony Brown matches up with Prince at SF. I would have rather had Russell starting, but Clarkson is playing out of position, so Rubio still wins that matchup. Lou Williams led the Lakers in scoring in preseason, but in a very inefficient manner. We know that he will get shots off against Martin at will, so the outcome may be determined by whether he is shooting well or not. Julius Randle looked terrible in Vegas, but has played better as of late and will be a handful for KG and Belly.

I'm taking it as an optimistic harbinger of the season that we are healthier than the Lakers. Williams, Clarkson and Huertas (who was the Lakers' best PG in preseason) all will play, but all have nagging injuries. Kobe is back, but still scraping the rust off. It's going to be an emotional night, and I see the Wolves winning 100-98.

Yeah it's gonna be another late night as I would like to watch this one live. I played basketball last night and ended up getting back to watch Hosmer end it.

These teams are actually similar in the ways the rosters are made up. Hibbert could be the difference maker overall as defensive presence at C. He hasn't exactly been a consistent player in the league though so we will see. The benches both have offensive firepower. I agre LST if Randle can play he could be a tough cover. It should be a fun game. Russell and Lavine matchup could be interesting

Cripes. Us Wolves fans keep getting punished. Opening night and the only way I could possibly stay up to see it all would be to binge on 5 hour energy or Red Bull. I might just have to DVR the 2nd half and then watch it at 5 a.m. when I normally wake up instead. 1st half might tell me all I need to know anyhow - ha!

Come to think of it, has anyone ever seen SP and Lamar Odom at the same time. Hmm...

Yeah, I'm already going on fumes after staying up for the 14th inning last night and getting up early for a breakfast meeting. And now I gotta do it again tonight...tough on an old man like me!

I suspect it's much like the Kardashian house.

C'mon, you know I'm a first pick or bust kinda guy, not no lousy fourth pick.
