Would you?
Re: Would you?
I don't think this trade would happen but I would be fine with doing something like #1 pick, Bennett, Bud and a future second round pick. For Embiid, the rights to Saric and like Hollis Thompson

If he is in a different class, don't you think the 76ers would know that?[/qu
2017 pick. 2 years from now I could see it being anywhere from 14-25. Not top 10 when they play out east. Phil is likely to pick up a couple free agents, between now and then, and have a healthy Carmelo.. Also, in this hypothetical they'd get Okafor. Carmelo, Okafor + whoever they spend big bucks for likely has them in the playoffs out east.

How about this? You take the Knicks deal and flip 4 for Embiid or Noel. Then we still get a top level big and pick up a top 10 pick next year. Noel has really turned into a great defender so I consider him a good get for the #4 pick and I've always thought Embiid would be great if he could stay healthy.

Re: Would you?
Embiid is the most interesting option for me, but there's 3 issues that would scare me a bit from him...
1) He's been injured each of the past two years, is he injury prone?
2) Reports were a little while back that he let himself get out of shape last year. Does this signal a work ethic issue?
3) He's in the 2nd year of his rookie deal, which means one less year on a rookie deal than our options this year.
On the flip side, I think he has as much upside as anyone in this draft and also provides exactly what this team is lacking from the bigs in several areas.
