We get Thompson and hypothetically we get Randle at No. 7. Nash is an expiring, but if he could stay healthy he'd be really nice as a backup PG.
No way lakers would do that cam. Why would they want lee when they could just resign gasol to a 2 year deal that might worth less than what lee makes. They would also keep the 7th pick and nash could be used as trade chip or a rotation player for them. Makes zero sense for them.
I was thinking they'd re-sign Gasol in addition to this and play him at center. They haven't kept a first round pick since 2007 I believe and with Kobe on his last legs (no pun intended), they're trying to add win-now pieces. I thought about throwing No. 13 their way, but that lowers the value of our return significantly. They'd get rid of Nash's $9M for Lee, though losing their lottery pick in the process. They've had interest in Lee before.
I bet something like this has been discussed, though.
Chris is one of those pathetic sports reporters who repeatedly allows himself to be used as a shill for teams and agents. If it's true that the Warriors do t want to include Klay in a deal for Love then they're not going to get Love. Could the Warriors' front office be that dumb - passing on the chance to combine Love with Curry, Iggy, Bogut and Kevin Martin? Maybe. But Flip simply needs to turn his attention to other teams. There should be several nice packages out there for Love. If the Warriors want him, they'll have to step up.
I'm not satisfied with any package from the Warriors, honestly. They can throw Thompson/Lee/Barnes/Green/future 1st at me and I'm still picking the phone up to call Danny Ainge.

Been shockingly quiet on the other teams trade front though. You'd think there would be more noise, especially coming out of Boston. Wouldn't you imagine things being leaked out from either side to "play the game" the way Golden State & Minnesota have.
Hasn't been a peep lately from Cleveland, Chicago, or Boston. Maybe that's just the calm before the storm.
It'll undoubtedly pick up on Tuesday or Wednesday. GS will blink first since they are one of many teams after Love. Flip doesn't need to blink since there are many teams after Love. I'd be shocked if the Ws pass this opportunity up considering how much preaching their GM and owner do about doing whatever it takes to build a champion.
Foye - Could be the calm before the storm. But more likely teams have cooled off on pursuing Love because they've figured out that Flip doesn't intend to trade him. Flip has a very high regard for his own coaching ability. So he probably thinks he can get this team to do so well next season that Love will want to stay. Hope I'm wrong. If I'm right, the Wolves will trade Love for a pathetic return in February and Glen's decision to hire Flip as our President of Basketball Operations will go down as another in a long line of hiring blunders by our Wolves' beloved owner.
