What happens when the Wolves play one of the teams going smaller at the 4? Is KAT chasing them around the perimeter?

And remember, it's not 1995 anymore. Nor is it even 2015. Some teams would be more than welcome to invite the Wolves to post-up Gobert or Jordan on the block vs. much smaller players.

This is why I don't think we need (nor can we afford) an expensive full-time Center like Gobert. We need a Baynes or Dedmon or someone of that ilk that can be an asset against bigger teams like San Antonio, but then won't play as much against small ball lineups.

Irony is we paid Gorgui almost 60 million to be that guy, obviously a huge blunder. I generally agree going smaller would be the more appropriate way to play around Kat.

Trading Wig would be the best solution to keep Jimmy. Have SacTown on speed dial...

Butler is not going to change his mind because of Josh Okogie. That's indeed a stretch and very wishful thinking.

I say we trade them both! Unfortunately, Wiggins isn't going anywhere.....

I don't think keeping Jimmy to hope he can re-sign is anywhere near realistic or logical. I would be shocked if Glen was able to turn around after the public display of the last month and give Jimmy 5/190. At least he told the team he wants to leave, that is valuable information. At the worst we should dump him at the deadline for an expiring and some sort of draft pick even if it is not that valuable of a pick. The only good that could potentially sticking around is that KAT grows a bit of an edge in his distaste for Jimmy and channels that into his game. One good game for Josh Okogie with no Wiggins isn't worth forgetting that this whole situation is tenuous and could blow up in a negative way at any point too. Jimmy has shown a complete lack of maturity at every stage in this and it is way more likely that he will do something immature again if given a chance, likely sooner than later.

But THIS time.... THIS time... 53 minutes is enough time to know that this guy could be an All NBA guy potentially. (comparisons to Jimmy Butler)

It sounds like the kid can play some D. That's an awesome starting point. Let's see if it's legit and he's able to improve.

Yup, still early. And we've been burned so many times before with rookies that showed some early promise and then fizzled out or couldn't fix a major hole in their game. With Okogie, as long as he stays healthy, it appears that defense will be his calling card. Defense isn't the type of thing that is flukey either. His shot on the other hand is concerning, mostly because our franchise has a terrible track record with taking mediocre shooting prospects and turning them into good shooters.

But let's not pour cold water on a beacon of hope just yet. It's nice to have something to look forward to. I wonder if he'll see time against Toronto?

Brooks made some interesting comments about Otto Porter the other day basically saying he needs to play harder. I'm somewhat intruiged but Kelly Oubre Jr. It seems like he is turning into a pretty useful player.

Kris Dunn out 4-6 weeks with an MCL. I believe Laurie is out for a while too. I was hoping these guys would have come out and outshined the wolves to make Thibs look bad.

Thibs doesn't require any help. That said I still like the trade as there was no way to see all this drama coming at the time, IMO.
