I agree, Doper. I stayed up and watched that game. Very fun team to watch. Simmons and Embiid are both superstars in the making if they can stay healthy. I see no reason why Simmons can't stay healthy. But Embiid's a different matter.

The Sixers are an exciting young team. Embiid was unreal last night wiht 46 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 blocks in a winning effort. Simmons nearly as impressive in different ways with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Some of his passes were spectacular.

But now about the Lakers? Ingram is starting to look like the player most expected him to be coming out of college last year. But how about Kuzma? Steal of the draft? So far, yes. He had 24 points and 7 rebounds last night. Beyond the numbers, he plays with such great energy on both ends of the court. He has an excellent handle and can play both the 3 and 4 positions.

Oh, forgot to mention that my guy, John Collins, had 14 points on 50% shooting and 8 rebounds in 22 minutes in a winning effort last night. :).

I watched most of the game after a friend on Facebook commented on the Lakers jerseys...

Embiid didn't surprise me. I saw enough of him last season to know if healthy the guy was a monster. Simmons was really impressive.

Ingram has a somewhat quiet very good game and Kuzma is fun to watch. Poor Lonzo struggled against and was on the bench for the 4th quarter. Jordan clarkson is a good player it's not like his Ball is losing playing time to some mediocre vet. Redick couldn't buy a 3 in that game or it wouldn't have been close.

Atlanta entered the game with a 2 - 12 record.

They won by 46.

Has any team "worse" than that won by that much in NBA history? Sacramento remains mired in suckiness and it won't end with the top-level management/ownership in place there. Enjoy them being the West's whipping boy as long as it lasts.

$40 million this season on George Hill, Zach Randolph and Vince Carter seems well spent right? I was infavor of spending for a couple of those guys but maybe not all 3. Carter is only a 1 year deal.

Holy crap does Boston play inspired defense. I'm not sure they can pull this out against the Warriors, but their guards and wings play like their life depends on getting a stop. And Jaylen Brown is waaaaay more impressive than I remember from his one year in college. Just hustles his ass off.

I'm no fan of the Warriors, but the refs kinda have favored Boston tonight. Tough shit I say. Great game.

I'm watching the game from the backboard cam and I've been watching the last 5 mins of the game. I thought the Warriors got the benefit of the calls since I have been watching. Boston won the game though. Gotta love Tatum a rookie wing steps up to the line and knocking down those FTs. He has kept up his success from college at the line I see. Marcus Smart is a beast.
