Ponder trade thread

Post by Monster »

So there has been some rumors out there about Ponder maybe getting traded and then Bradford tears his knee up again which sucks for him and the Rams. Does anyone think they would actually be interested in Ponder. They have Shaun Hill but I know nothing about the guys behind him. Thoughts? Do the Vikings really care about moving Ponder? He seems like a good dude that handles himself well. I don't know of any developmental guys the have at the position. Maybe they will see someone on the waiver wire. I think its doubtful they find a taker for Ponder but you never know.

Ponder was terrible last year, and he is hopelessly buried on the depth chart. That said, his ability to run the football and his decent 2012 season gives him some trade value. I think a team with QB injuries will be looking closely at him, and a good performance this weekend could increase his value. The Rams' young guys are untested and not highly regarded, and Shaun Hill is old and just not that good...I gotta believe Ponder would be a step up for them. It would be entertaining to face him in Game 1!

Could see the Rams signing a free agent, even Josh Freeman, before trading away an asset for a QB they don't value that much. I could be wrong, though. Depends on the price.

Didn't Freeman hilariously sign with the Giants?

Yep, for about 3-4 days...Josh is one strange guy.
