Johnson is listed at 6'7.5". He doesn't quite look that tall. But yeah, he does look like he's got the offensive game of a PF to some degree. Larry Johnson comes to mind.

SOD (hey Drew, did you know the initials of your handle are SOD? no matter). So if Johnson is a defensive stud with a PF game, and Bazz is an offensive stud with a PF game, which one do we keep? Both?

Drew, I think Stans height and certainly his weight are exaggerated.

I missed the last 15 minutes of the OSU game (where he proceeded to miss more shots), but while watching the first 25 minutes I said to myself Russell is my clear cut #1 right now. I had him at 1b due to Towns being about equal (in my mind)and in a position of need, but I think Russell will be the biggest star of this draft class.

Take Russell and proceed to trade Martin/Shabazz/Bennett possibly Bjelica for a frontcourt player. One player that I recently thought about is Channing Frye for the Magic (bad contract) but can shoot the three from the 4 might be able to be had pretty cheap while giving us a 4 and 3pt shooting. Not to mention the Magic will have a mid lotto pick we could potentially come away with Russell and Stein? maybe I'm taking crazy pills.

Russell had a very poor shooting game, but in terms of basketball skills, he's hands down better than Stanley Johnson. In fact, Johnson might not even be the best player on his team. For a guy so big and strong, he seems to really struggle finishing in the paint.

At this point, I would be really hard-pressed to take Johnson, even if we drop to #5 or 6.

I agree. Not being a good shooter or being able to finish in the paint. That is not a good combination in today's NBA.

That's what really tips the scale for me Khans, the versatility Towns would likely give us. I think his type of game would work with most of our bigs. Towns at C with Gorgui at PF could be very interesting defensively and even offensively.

If the Wolves end up lower than 3, they will hopefully take a long look at Cauley-Stein. Anyone else a fan?

Well, we all saw what Chandler did for that Dallas team and if he can have that big of an impact on the defensive end I say why not.

Towns still worries me. I still can't get the though of WCS being better then him out of my head. I know WCS is a junior, but if Towns is a top pick I think he would be the best player on his team.
