I'm not throwing the towel in yet. This team is a Rubio jump shot away from 55 wins a year. He will figure it out. Give the bench a break too. We are missing two of our best.

I don't think the starters have been outplayed by anyone this year but the bench is atrocious right now. The idea of moving Dieng to the starting lineup and putting pek on the second unit has some merit. I still think we make the playoffs this year and win 50 games. Check the Jan and March schedule And I you'll see some months where we finish 5 to 10 games over .500

Lip please level out a bit. One day we are a 6 seed the next a 9-11. It's only one game against the world champs and we were without Love after a 6 day layoff. Did anyone expect us to look good in this one?

LOL....if the wolves aren't good instantaneously, then we should start to plan on blowing up the team. How many game has this starting lineup played together? Some lineups take more than 20 games to gel. You guys are too funny.

For those of you that don't know this; changing the culture and making up for years of bad decisions takes time. Organizational improvement is a process. There is not a decent team in this league that has undergone more change to their starting line-up than the Wolves. And everyone knows that we needed it. We are also getting excellent value from those 2 additions (Brewer and Martin). They are 2 of the better signings that we have made in the past 5 years.

For those of you that are still realizing that we are not close to being a contender; get over it. We are not close to being a contender, no one with half a brain thought that we would be close to being a contender. I hate to break the news to everyone, but we are not going to be close to being a contender next year either. So, if you are the type that needs to panic......go ahead and panic....and get it over with.

We haven't been a contender for a VERY long time. You should be used to it by now. Hoping that anyone can make up for Kahn's years of bad decisions, in 20 games is an idiot.

Ok, I've vented. Now everyone can go back to being shocked.

I think you are missing the whole point of why some are talking about another rebuild. The team has used up it's assets this last off season. We used the majority of the room we had under the tax limit, we traded away what some saw as our only trade asset, and won't likely have another top pick.

You can use the "haven't jelled yet", or the "players haven't learned their roles" or whatever other excuse makes you feel better. The truth is that many other teams have significant TO, are rebuilding and have new coaches and systems, and are still outperforming the wolves. Phoenix is ahead of us, NO, the injury strapped Lakers for god sakes.

The Lakers, and GS have both had more change in their starting lineups over the last few years in comparison to the wolves. They have both gone through coaching changes as well, but still seem to be winning BB games. The Lakers are without two of their top three players, and are still looking down at us in the standings.

There is a difference between taking a realistic viewpoint and panicking. Some just aren't drinking the Koolaid.

Things are extremely bad when you get beat up by the 2 time defending champions with your best player out. That is inexcusable. But seriously I am often jaded to the roller coaster on this board. I do not misunderstand it though. This fan base has been starved for adequacy for years. We yearn for instant results because someone has a sample that makes us think that there is nothing to it. We beg for someone, literally anyone other than Kahn to lead this team and when it happens it becomes, oh wait, except Flip. We dream of having a competent coach and, if you review the evidence, Adelman is that. The reality is that if you surf other message boards for other teams you will find similar disdain for just about any other coach. That is a common trait of armchair fans. This isn't to say that things are fine for the Wolves right now, because they are not. Rubio is still young and dealing with consistency. That is not uncommon. Heck, even Kyrie Irving went scoreless recently. Scouts say he is pouting. Should he be given up on yet? If he was a Wolf, I would probably be reading yes. I have read pieces about not blaming the schedule or putting it on the bench or the stars or the front office etc but the reality is that they are all an integral part that will not carry the rest in a sustainable fashion. The truth may just be that this team is not ready to compete every night yet. Look at Atlanta and Memphis;they never had a game-changing superstar and it took them years of patience and hard work to build something with a core of competent players and now they are at a point where they can plug holes and play and compete regularly. It is about a total team effort from top to bottom and a winning desire/attitude. It is probably going to take a few more years of upward trending for the Wolves to get there. The key is sticking with it.

Q, I don't know how you can feel bad for St. Rick. This is his team, shaped the way he wanted it. We went all in for the short term to try and make an appearance in the playoffs. And it doesn't even look like we are going to get that. We've gotten rid of all the guys Rick didn't want. He doesn't deserve any sympathy.

Well, yes and no. It's true that he has some of "his guys" on the squad, especially Budinger and Martin. But at the end of the day, he's not the GM and can't be held responsible for the multitudes of failed draft picks that consistently forces us to shell out multi-million dollar contracts to mediocre veterans.

All of that being said, he's the head coach and needs to bear his fair share of responsibility for our current record. I still feel bad for him though....
