I had no problem with the contracts yearly commitments. It is more the number of years they are tied up for that is the issue.

I know I stand alone on this but I dont think it was a good idea trading Burke. I think this will be a big mistake. That being said, I hate Simmons. Think this team should make the playoffs. Anything less would be a huge disappointment. Adelman will get the best out of this team. I do hate this great players need to play in big markets theory. Its really annoying to hear over and over. The fans here really deserve something good to happen. Been a long time coming.

Yeah Bill Simmons can eat a big fat D--- and Jalen Rose can serve it to him. But seriously, I think this team is being judged way too much on it's injury riddled past and bad drafts/trades. While I'll agree with the above poster that trading Burke could turn out to be a mistake, the verdict is still out on our rookies and only time will tell. Even if only Gorgui pans out in to a solid rotational player it won't look that bad.
Bottom line is it's time to forget the past. Other than Budinger, the entire team is healthy and we still haven't even seen our main three guys play together yet (OK we have seen some lackadaisical preseason play, but what do you expect out of a starting unit that has no experience together?).
I'm just ready to get the games started. Then we can find out who will be eating crow (or a big fat D---).

I don't know why Simmons has that job. He's not well connected with inside sources, he's not well informed and doesn't seem to research his topics, he doesn't have any notable insights into the game, and he has a really annoying voice. There are far more capable and appealing individuals who could do what Simmons does and do it much better.
Re: Wolves season preview by Simmons/Rose
After watching a number of there NBA draft interviews I see these guys a little differently. Rose has a good perspective as a former player and even though Simmons pisses me off (some of his takes are really dumb and poorly thought out) he is pretty funny as well. His analysis of the current league often is terrible, but if you have him assess it in relation to past history (excellent) or maybe individual players I think he has some merit. If he ran a team he would basically do just as many stupid moves as he rips Kahn for just in another way that we would be able to laugh at.
Now when you getback to the general breakdown of the team and so on I can't disagree with much of what they said except the draft. I think the main point they both think is that Burke is going to be a really good player and they don't think the Wolves got back enough to justify trading Burke away. Personally I disagree with that i don't think Burke is going to be anything special and I would rather have Dieng any day of the week. Of course Shabazz made himself an easy mark for jokes after the rookie thing and that doesn't help the draft look good either.

Rose just said in the Blazers video that he likes the Wolves better than Portland's team. Either way I think we have a ways to go before anyone takes us seriously for a contender in the West. I really think Simmons has gotten this far bashing the Wolves and this was a continuation of that. Like when he asked if some franchises are just cursed in reference to us.

It's funny that I didn't have to watch the video to know what these clowns were going to say. Injuries, Love is leaving to a city that they cover, Minnesota is too cold, and should've kept Trey Burke (Simmons was upset during the draft). Can I get money for the type of work that they do?

I think it is funny the way Simmons can bag on Derrick Williams in our preview, and five minutes later in the blazer preview he gushes about Thomas Robinson. Stating he would never give up on a top five pick that is under 23.

I was thinking the same thing. At least Williams has played. And how is Robinson behind Aldridge better than WIlliams behind Love? At least Rose told him no way will Aldridge/Robinson match up against Pek/Love.
