Must be gone next season no matter what tier
-JJ Barera
-Dante
-Robbie Hummel
Would be thrown in a trade for a good yield tier
-Pek
-Cory Brewer
-Alexi
Would only if I had to for a big name player
-Budinger
-MBMT
The rest are untouchable if I'm Flip, I am much more hesitant to get rid of Bud because his value is at an all time low and a terrible time to trade him. MBMT I think has a legit place on any team, his offense is little but when he gets big minutes I have seen him play some incredible lockdown defense on some of the biggest NBA stars, sometimes shockingly good like his stretch against Lebron a few nights ago.

I was on board until the third stage. I would give either of those guys up for nothing, and wouldn't think twice. They combine to make close to 10 mil, and can't even be considered one dimensional IMO. Maybe Luc, but Bud is done in this league. His D would keep him on the bench in the D league.

Re: What players are you most willing to get rid of?
I have said on this board that I have a different perspective on this than most. I'm willing to get rid of any player if what we get back in return makes us better...there are no untouchables. And I'm willing, or sometimes resigned, to keep any player if there is no deal involving them that can make us better. JJ drove me crazy last year, and there were times that I would have been willing to trade him for a large bag of Skittles. But right now he is our second best option at SG behind Martin, and if Flip can't cut a deal for a new SG, I would not be in favor of getting rid of JJ (I'm assuming that our new coach will recognize right away that JJ is not a PG). Dante doesn't thrill me, and I like him less with this week's news (he's back in custody after making terrorist threats), but I'm not willing to give him up if Flip doesn't add a decent backup to Love. Dante may be a pig in his personal life, but he gives us decent rebounding, defense and mid-range shooting for a cheap price.
The third guy you mention is Hummel, and again I have a different take on him. He is our best 3-point shooter while unguarded (just watch a shoot aound sometime to see that this is true), and in limited minutes this year he had our 4th best 3-point %. And in another thread I talk about how 3-point percentages tend to skyrocket after a player enters his second year. Robbie reminds me a lot of the kind of snipers the Spurs always seem to find. There are a handful of guys really helping their teams as 3-point specialists that don't have nearly the pedigree that Robbie has. If he's already a 34% 3-point shooter in his rookie year, with his pure stroke I see no reason he can't be a 40%+ specialist a la Kyle Korver, Mike Miller, Danny Green, Anthony Morrow, Marco Bellinelli, and Jodie Meeks. Hummel isn't going to bring us anything in trade, so I say keep him on a cheap contract to see if he can become our Kyle Korver.
The guys I think are most likely to bring us the best value in return (i.e .. the trade makes us better) are Pek and Bud. I like them both, but perhaps they can bring something in return to fill a greater need.

Re: What players are you most willing to get rid of?
I have changed my stance on a few players I wanted gone: Barea, Hummel, Shved and Cunningham.
Barea and Cunningham have been misused or should I say overused. Barea has shown that he is not capable of running this second unit as a point guard. But he is capable of being a scorer off the ball, hence why he was so effective with Dallas playing next to Kidd. Cunningham is an end of bench big whose played the first off the bench role for us this year. In certain match ups Cunningham can be very effective, but in others he is simply overwhelmed and undersized. Rick Adelman can be held accountable for both these players poor play this season. They are simply not playing the roles that are with in their abilities and strengths.
Hummel's a rookie. Can't be too hard on him. He is a good 3 point shooter and can play the stretch 4 role for spot minutes. He's cheap as well and has room to grow. His ceiling is a Steve Novak type player. Shved has regressed this season, but he is still yet to play an decent minutes in his natural postion as a PG. Can he bounce back? I'm not sure, but if he is on this roster next year he needs to play at PG with the ball in his hand and wouldn't mind seeing him play minutes with Rubio.
I would like to see us sign another athletic wing to start next to Brewer, someone in the Gerald Green mould, someone whose capable of scoring double digits every night but also has the strength and speed to match opposition wings. This would allow Martin to play the Jamal Crawford 6th man role, which will give us instant offense off the bench. Brewers played well this season and deserves to retain his starting role. Sure he can't shoot the 3 still, but dam he's good on the fast break and is an effective defender.
I would like to see us keep LMAM and use him as our star stopper. Once again he's been misused by Adelman this season.

Re: What players are you most willing to get rid of?
JJ and Dante were misused but what better options were there? None. Its the same problem we have had with bench guys people have been upset with for years a Remember how annoyed people used to be with Luke because he had to play big minutes? Those guys are legit rotation guys but not first players off the bench types. Thats not on Adelman. I am not saying he couldn't have used some different rotations but generally speaking those guys were basically it for our bench much of this year and really when you realize that its almost amazing the wolves are going to finish around .500 this season. That said either of them can go but there is nobody on this team we need to pay to get rid of.

JJ absolutely has to go. There are some unrestricted free agent PGs out there like Shaun Livingston and Ramon Sessions that we can probably get fairly inexpensively as backups to Rubio.

Re: What players are you most willing to get rid of?
I don't think there is a market for JJ. I think he has value off the ball and we just need to play him there.
If we could cut players NFL style this is who I would cut.
1. LRMM 4.3M
2. Shved 3.1M
3. Budinger 5M
4. Barea 4.5M
5. Martin - 6.7M
6. Pek - 12.1M
Honestly the only way we get rid of most of these contracts is to make a trade. OJ Mayo is the guy I would target. If we could trade Budinger and Shved that would be a good trade in my opinion. We would take on more long term, but give us a solid SG to pair with Martin.
