Free Agency Begins!
Re: Free Agency Begins!
Free agent center Guerschon Yabusele has agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract with the New York Knicks, plus a player option, sources tell ESPN. The Knicks negotiated the new deal with agents Olivier Mazet and Richie Felder for the big man on Tuesday.

Free agent forward Gary Harris has agreed to a two-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, with a player option on the second season, sources tell ESPN. Bucks continue to fortify the roster with a veteran wing who played key rotation roles for playoff teams in Denver and Orlando.

I hope TC doesnt dig such a salary hole with Ant and the Wolves as the Bucks did with Giannis.
I am starting to think the current NBA ecosystem will require teams to have only one max guy to be sustainable. We'll see how that theory pans out. We have some data with Boston right now and will have a great case study with OKCs pending structure.

We only have one player making the max next season. Rudy is our 2nd highest paid player and he is making more than 25 million less than a super max, and Ant's only the 24th highest paid.Phenom wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 11:57 am I hope TC doesnt dig such a salary hole with Ant and the Wolves as the Bucks did with Giannis.

Yep. The Wolves have a bunch of middle to upper middle class contracts. But there are no salary crippling contracts on the roster.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 12:05 pmWe only have one player making the max next season. Fast forward to 2029, however, when Edwards is 28 years old and in his prime. IF he decides to stay in Minnesota, he'll be looking at a $100M+ annual salary.
So pro basketball teams... take your shot when you have one.

Question on Lillard. Since they ate his salary is he gonna be able to be signed for the minimum? He can't double dip right? Does this make him a possibility to sign?

Yep, we need to go all in now for the next few years!!! TIME IS NOW! Ants contract could nearly double overnight which would obviously cripple the roster. Waiting till Ant is in his prime is super foolish.AbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 12:30 pmYep. The Wolves have a bunch of middle to upper middle class contracts. In the old CBA supermax players were pretty far underpaid (which made me angry seeing three join up for "superteams"), now they might be even overpaid a bit, depending on the guy of course! You don't want a supermax on a 10th ranked player for instance who's on the decline. Then you're just screwed.

Once he clears waivers he is free to sign whereverCrazysauce wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 1:24 pm Question on Lillard. Since they ate his salary is he gonna be able to be signed for the minimum? He can't double dip right? Does this make him a possibility to sign?
