I didn't watch this one, but we totally dominated Dallas last night, with Miles completely outplaying Fudd. The bench didn't shoot well, but the starters shot 61% (despite Coffey's 3 for 10)! Nobody could have predicted this start to the season missing so many pieces from last season...terrific story!
Their point differential for the season is now almost 13. Their 2 losses are by a combined 8 points and game 1 they lost by a point, they could very easily be a 1 loss team right now.
Looking at the roster construction Coffey and Howard are signed for 2 years combined less than a couple of the players that left. They basically have this entire roster locked in for 2 years if they want to other than Collier. We have to see how things mesh when she returns but idk why you wouldn't want to play with Miles and what seems like idk a pretty good roster. Lol

They are having an OKC-like season statistically in terms of their dominance. They are also OKC-like in that everything they touch seemingly turns to gold, allowing them to still dominate without their best player.

If Miles is able to keep playing anything like this the rest of the season and into the playoffs...that's a pretty big deal. The Lynx as good as they have been the past few years it always felt like they could be a little better at PG Miles might be the difference and too much if there is some sort of influence on the outcome. Also the way she plays I would think is pretty appealing...and someone you can make money off of. Hell the Lynx are entertaining with a cast of characters as players.
I had a window in my browser for weeks with the YouTube video of when McBride Williams and Collier did their PC when they resigned. I watched it tonight. Courtney is freaking hilarious. Anyway, I remember them saying how Miles was a baller and Williams said she would be a problem but watching all they said and...after the first chunk of games I'm thinking they really did see stuff and then were proven right.
Is Phee always so measured in her talking to the media etc? I get she probably was partly due to the ankle and then whatever the reason for her 1 year deal but it did seem she wasn't giving much info. She did give a little laugh and smile at a later response. Of course the contrast between her and Williams and Mcbride who were just sitting there chilling saying whatever was pretty vast. Lol
What a game Lynx vs Aces. First game all season miles was sped up having 6 turnovers to only 1 assists.
But in the 4th 3 straight buckets against the best player in the world aja Wilson with under a minute left. She ended with 29 points on 11-20 shooting. Superstar.
Lynx just couldn’t get rebounds the first half. First time all season they didn’t look like a well oiled machine but that will happen against the champs.
Overall super fun game. Great learning experience an my God the Lynx are good even though they lost tonight

Only watched the highlights and looked at the box score. King hadn't played in what like 2 weeks and comes out and does some stuff in her 9 minutes. It sounds like she is a bit of a mixed bag but it seems like she does a lot with the time she gets.
The Aces scored 100 points. Keeping teams from rolling up points is something the lynx have been good at. The Aces shot the hell out of the ball in this game and at least the Lynx made in interesting towards the end.
Another 30 point win for the Lynx. Just elite all around. Nia Coffey was special tonight on both ends. Might be the most athletic player in the league.
