Kosu hit a 3! She has so much potential
Over 90 points with a ton of time left in the 4th quarter.

Nice to see a couple of the younger or less experienced players have some success. Coffey and Williams talked after the game about how Delaere was finding her place on the team.

I guess the last couple weeks she has started to listen to Reeve who told her to shoot more. Lol

Was her shooting and scoring volume and efficiency projected to be this good as a draft prospect!? I know she had a reputation as a great passer. The NBA is my primary frame of reference, so it feels so unusual to me that a rookie immediately is such a high level scorer and shooter.

She had 2 weaknesses coming out of college, one was defense, Cheryl talked about this that she felt Liv had the physical tools to be a good defender but she was allowed to get away with stuff in college. She currently is the number 1 defensive rating player in the wnba (defensive rating is a team stat) but has been hunted the second most in isolation in the league besides CC. So the Lynx have built a good defensive culture around her.

For shooting she was not a good shooter in her early college career and was a big knock on her. She had a big spike year in her last year at ND and it dipped a little bit her one year at TCU. So her shot was a big question mark. She also had questionable shot selection in college.

Liv has talked no defensive 3 seconds has been huge for her. The lane is just open when she beats her man, and surrounded by one of the best shooters ever in McBride, a bucket in Courtney and an elite rim running big in Howard has really opened the game up.

I would say rookies have a chance to make a bigger impact early in their career compared to the nba due to there is not this huge athleticism increase in the WNBA. With that said what LIV is doing is special, she will threaten all Caitlin Clark records and do it in a winning context. There has been 1 rookie to win mvp in league history and that is Candace Parker. We are watching something special with miles. This came out of nowhere this was considered a weak draft and nobody was considered a super star (Fam has the potential) but I’m enjoying my time

The lack of bench killed the Lynx against the mystics

Reeve might be the best coach in the league, but her teams have these clunkers every year. Coming off that road trip you can't lose to the Mystics at home. I much prefer Cheryl's teams when they are going into a tough road game or a matchup against another elite team.

To be fair this is their first clunker of the year. They have been destroying bad teams. The mystics are a terrible matchup for the Lynx they are just so huge.

The bench was really bad today. The starters were exhausted and McBride was terrible today.

They will be fine but Cheryl said Phee and Dorka are still weeks away from practice what scares me
