I was gonna post last night before the Lions Packers game that it was gonna be interesting....wow. I was Specifically curious to see if the Packers D was legit. The Lions got a few big plays on them. The officiating that last quarter...wow. One of my best friends that is a Packers fans said he had to go take a shower after that game because he felt dirty with that win. Lol

I turned it off on that first bad call. Are those calls challengeable?

One other thing to note is that all the Vikings first run through the division games are on the road. They get the rest of the division at home.

Yes we are on the road, but both Bears and Lions are coming off Monday night games. That has to help us a bit.

Morgan having season ending surgery and is done for the year. I woukd assume his contract can be tolled so if he is healthy next year they have a good or at least solid player back for cheap. I think not having him is a low key loss for this team. He always seemed to make the blocking better when he was out there.

I saw that. I was hoping to see him more in the Jim Kleinsasser role with this team.

I wonder if this new scheme can utilize whatever strengths Rudolph has as blocker. He is clearly more of a pass catch her but I'd imagine there is some things he does better than others. This all feels like a bit of a reach in a way but also I do wonder...for example maybe he does better put in space than just holding up at the point of attack. He is reasonably athletic mobile for a blocker and his height might work against him just taking a step and walling up a guy. Idk I wonder if it also gets more out of Ham. It seems like there is a bit of hype about him having a nice season as a blocker.

CJ Ham gets a lot of love due to the success of the running game. He seems to be more of a wall hs guy up type that blows his guy up and gets to the next level. I like the latter in a FB, but can't argue with the results. I think Cook makes him look a little better than he is.

I grew up with Tom Rathman and Rick Fenney being the type of FB's liked. Mike Alstott might got down as the last great FB, but he got a lot of touches running the ball.

I watched some video of CJ Ham from this season on twitter and he has some fun hits. Obviously any FB that gets enough opportunities is gonna have some good ones but anywho this might be my favorite hit he delivered this season. Lol

I asked #Vikings C.J. Ham if he's seen that he's the No. 3 ranked fullback by Pro Football Focus. "I have not seen that. I think Pro Football Focus costs too much.''

Imo Alscott's value was much more as a runner and a runner his blocking. I remember one the things that made the Rathman Craig combo good was they were fairly interchangeable. Both guys could play the other's role well enough that teams couldn't just let off one guy.

He wasn't a duel threat guy as a FB his whole career but they were talking about FBs the other day on local ESPN radio and Tony Richardson came up. He had some better offensive stats than they expected. Lol regardless he was a pretty good player.

We don't even know if the Vikings are going to keep Ham around after this year. They have Blasingame waiting in the wings as a cheaper alternative and he looked really intriguing in preseason.
