Vikings/Giants MNF thread
As I mentioned in another thread, there will be a lot of pressure on the coaching staff to keep the Vikings focused on this game. They are coming off a decisive road victory against the defending NFC champs, while the Giants just lost at home to an injury-ravaged Redskins team...who do you think is going to be hungrier. Maybe the oddsmakers have this factor in mind, because the opening line is a ridiculously low -4...seems like it should be closer to 10, in my opinion.
Very good news on Boone yesterday...no guarantee he plays this Sunday, but Zimmer said after the MRI he "should be okay". Will this be the first game of the season where the Vikings don't have to come from behind to win? I think it should be.

It's nice to have some good injury news. I'll make a bold prediction that Boone will not play on Sunday. :) Zimmer didn't comment on Morgan though. That sounds less positive.
I am always wary of the Giants. They always have some talent and you never know when they are going to show up and actually play well. I feel pretty good about this game but you never know. It would be nice to see the run game get going more. There were some positive signs on Sunday espcially McKinnon having some pretty nice little runs.

Geez our schedule is tough. We're @ Philadelphia too, which didn't seem too daunting at first, but now they are 3-0 too! Wentz looks like a 10-year vet.
Perhaps the Proverb "As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another" applies here. Hopefully playing all of these really good teams in the regular season and dealing with the injury adversity will give us a mental edge come playoff time.....but need to win a few more games first!

I think the line being only -4 is reasonable until such time as the offense proves it can contribute consistently. In spite of a nice performance by Bradford and Diggs against GB they still had a relatively meh outing on the whole, and they were borderline invisible in the other two games. Until they find some positive consistency the Vegas odds aren't going to reflect how good this team should be.
Re: Vikings/Giants MNF thread
For the first time I have 100% c9nfidence in our coaches to have the team ready to play. More importantly I think players have bought in to Zimmer. They'll lose games but preparation and confidence won't be the reason. Being out skilled offensively will be the issue in almost every game.

Well it sounds like Boone is a lock to play on Monday night. He wasn't even on the injury report so that's good news. Morgan is out but Pruitt is healthy. Floyd is the only other guy out.
Pruitt brings something different than Morgan or Ellison in that he is more athletic and explosive so teams either may need to account for that or he may be able to break a big play and the Vikings could use another player like that. Honestly one of the best things that has happened this season is that Rudolph has been put grabbing passes instead of blocking. That may say something positive about the offensive line QB play or all of the above. Through 3 games he already has 26 targets compared to 73 in 16 games last year. His high in targets was his 2nd year in 2012 when he had 93 so 26 targets in 3 games is quite a few in comparison. I think he can be a pretty big key of he can stay healthy and involved in the passing game. He is the big target and safety value this team has needed to lean on for a while but either because of health or last year needing him to stay and block he hasn't been that guy plus he is athletic enough to break some bigger plays.

Do you have any college eligibility left? Maybe you could punt or kick for Wisconsin or Michigan. That could be your new thing.

Bleed, we didn't want to have to break it to you, but some of the guys here have been complaining that the Vikings stink when you tee up the game thread...and they asked me to handle it this week. Hopefully the Vikings will start playing well now that we have me starting the thread.
