Would you care to elaborate on the bad blood thing? I haven't heard anything although it would obviously make sense for something to be there.
No inside information here...just reports I heard a couple times on KFAN from different sources that were hanging around in Mankato and my own observation at a game. Apparently Sullivan started out getting sideways with the new offensive line coach (who seemed to be favoring Berger at C) and Zimmer didn't like his attitude. Then, I was at the preseason game (first game for the new stadium) where Sully didn't play at all, and he was one unhappy dude on the sidelines. I would be very surprised if either party wanted to get back together, even though it seems logical. I sense that bridge is completely burned down.

If the Browns called and asked what we would give for Joe Thomas. What would you give up?
Trading for a legit LT makes a lot of sense but now that AP might be done for the season are the Vikings really going to keep going all in on this season? Joe Thomas is a good player but he is also 31 but is also signed to a reasonable deal. My guess is the asking price would be pretty high at least a first rounder and we already have up one of those so that limits what I might be willing to offer. At this point I'm going to see what Clemmings can do. Maybe he ends up being the answer at LT. Yeah that's an optimistic take but finding a legit LT is this league isn't easy I can hope for some luck.

Thanks for the reply. I was lurking a bit on rubechat yesterday and someone mentioned Sully and Sparano didn't get along and then you made your post. It's something different for a former journeyman that's older to take over a vet like Sully's spot. Based on how Berger has performed the last couple years when he has been a starter at both guard and at center it seems deserved. That's stating the obvious but you have to wonder if Sully along with other things just couldn't really accept it was mostly that simple.
If Smith ends up on the IR they probably have to add some sort of vet. Hey your Guy Willie Beavers is an injury away from playing. You gotta be thrilled right? Jk I'm actually a bit surprised they didn't have him active this week.
I am pulling for my guy Willie. I would be happy to see him come in and play like a Pro Bowler, but I am not counting on it and think he would be lucky to play at Clemmings level.

It will be interesting to see how much he has left. If the guy can actually play I would imagine he will end up playing LT sooner rather than latter unless the Vikings are more happy with Clemmings than the PFF stats suggest. Lol
As for Cooper...good for the Browns they got a young player that may still turn out but he is on his 3rd team in the last 6 months if he was actually good I don't think he gets moved. Right now I think the interior of the Vikings line is not the place they need to find immediate upgrades it's the tackles.
Cooper got injuried in camp. When he got healthy they had already moved on. I like a lot of what the Browns have done. Went very young for the most part. They have a lot of picks form the trade last year.
