Man, that is a big league Monster. I'm in a 12-team league which feels about right.

It was supposed to be 2 10 team leagues but a few people decided not to play so we ended up with one big league. If the benches weren't so small there would really be nothing left. I think it would have been good to have 1 less flexspot that needed to be filled to keep from being so picked over. The guy that set it up had a bunch of stuff going on so just having the league actually happen was good enough. A few people that are playing have basically no idea what they are doing...but it's fantasy football so who knows what might happen!

How are your seasons going? I started out hot but then ran into a 3 game losing streak playing people that had pretty good weeks and had to play a week without Russell Wilson since he was on a bye. Not having McCaffery started to hurt then also. Hopefully I can get back on track this week. James Robinson has been a big pickup for me. I really invested in Jags RBs (end of the draft and FA) and it ended up paying off. Lol

I'm 4-3 heading into today, but mostly because I've been a bit lucky with my matchups. My first pick was Barkley, so that didn't help matters when he went out with an ACL. I am fortunate I picked Kareem Hunt, who is having a very nice season. I also picked up Justin Jefferson, so that's paying dividends. But still...it's tough to replace a guy like Barkley who is a rare RB workhorse that gets you ~ 20 points every single week.

Yep I'm 4-3 too. I picked up Chubb this week because I thought I would be able to get by without 2 healthy guys on a 3 person bench for a couple weeks since I don't have anyone on bye. I'm going at least this week without a Defense. I couldn't believe the production Hunt and Chubb has when both guys were healthy. I'm hoping to get on a roll because the top 2 teams get a bye in the playoffs.
One of the sneaky pickups I had in my league is Coradelle Patterson because it's a point for every 10 return yards. Plus he now qualifies as both a WR and RB and is a top 20 guy in both categories. Lol He might not be healthy this week but I can play Jared Cook who I picked up last week.

4-3 and 3-4. Pretty frustrating start as I am top 2 scoring in both leagues and happened to also be top 2 scoring against in both leagues early leading to the basically .500 records. We'll see how it goes as the scoring against has finally started to fall so I should be able to rack up some winning streaks.

What do people think about picking up Lazard the WR from GB? Do you think he will have a good role once he is healthy? The other GB WRs other than Adams haven't done much but I get the sense they believe more in Lazard. The guys I'm looking at dropping To pick him up are Cole Beasley or Perine the Rookie RB for the Jets.

Maybe next year our board should do a Guillotine League. It is my 1st year in a guillotine league and it has been by far my favorite fantasy football experience I have ever had.
If you are wonder what a Guillotine league is. You start with 17 teams and the team who scores the least amount of pts gets eliminated and cut from the league. All the players on that team go to free agency and there is a bidding process where you get 1000$ for the whole year to spend. It has been so much fun. Different strategies and I so many fun Monday Night football games. Closest I have come to be cut was 2 weeks ago when into the night up 6 and it was Robinson vs Kupp. I lost the lead in that game but Robinson caught a 40 yard pass early in the 4th to keep me from being cut.
So much fun

I would rather have Beasley just because he is super consistent assuming you are in some variation of a PPR league. I think it is a toss up on Perine vs Lazard. It all matters on where you are weak at. Lazard has more flex play upside but Perine plays a position where there is less depth. So I would make sure you are good at RB depth before dropping Perine because you might need him in a week or 2.

That's an interesting concept and I can see it being fun. I'd like to do what I think is called a vampire league. I don't remember exactly how it works but I read about it after I stopped playing in the league I was in it had to keep being coming because I couldn't hand over League powers to anyone for some weird reason only ESPN could explain. Anyway Each week I would pick guys that were free agents and see if I could Put together a team that would compete. I generally would score more points than over half the league which I found highly amusing. Lol
