Note to self:

Do not sign mid-30's slugger with calf injury history to $100-million deal.

Hey Cam question for you. I don't know what type of ball player you were. Let's say in your prime.

Drew Butera was 6-138 one year with the twins at one point to start off a year.

If you got all the bp like he got and same coaching instruction in your prime do you think you get 6 hits. You face the same pitchers so not Verlander every night and you don't have to worry about defense just hitting.

Cause I think I could've done it we're having argument at the bar right now about it.

I had D-II interest at Florida Southern before getting injured my senior year. That's where my baseball career died. And yes, I would do much better than 6-138. I could probably use half of those AB's bunting and get more than six hits.

Very cool I was pitcher. I played at Doane college which was NAIA powerhouse in Nebraska then played at Augsburg.

The best school to recruit me was Minnesota state but there pitching coach said I would redshirt and I wouldn't be a option till my senior year.

Best story I have is I pitched in front the notes dame pitching coach at tpx. I'm 6'2 225 back then :) lol but I have what you call a roger Clemens ass. I got up there hit my 82-84 on the gun.

He throws his hat says god damn it son I thought I found my ace for the next 4 years with that ass and build and then you threw 82 with perfect mechanics lol. I said I'm sorry sir he said you'll make a D-2 very happy someday.

Bahaha that's fantastic. Should have told him you were just featuring your changeup for the scouts. Saving the cheddar for game day.

Walk, single, error, single. Good guys up 2-0. We'll take those.
