I still believe in this team, but the losing streak has been painful and last night was a disaster. Pat Reusse has a scathing article about the team in this morning's paper. He questions why we let a power arm like Chargois go, and then signed a soft tosser like Hale. I guess I do too.

I think Mitch Garver should be our starting catcher.

Thought I would congratulate Daniel Palla on here. I've always liked the kid and meet him multiple times and could have a better head on his shoulders. But the man hits his first career home run for the White Sox today, I hope this start of a long career for him and hopefully he makes the twins regret letting him go.

I've been kinda wondering about that. He looks like a guy that has a chance to hit his way into the position and it would be great to see it happen.

Thanks for the update. I liked him also but it's tough to make some of these decisions and his performance last year wasn't as impressive.

Well...we overcall that big losing streak and managed to take 1 of 3 from the Reds...sigh. Duffy gave up another HR but cut his ERA in half so...progress? I'm not panicking. I'm not panicking. Ok I am not but this has been a less than ideal start that's for sure.
Also I watched the first 4 innings of yesterday's game and Mourneau was fun to listen to. He doesn't have a commanding presence as an analyst but he had some solid insights and his stories and comments from both the past and present were entertaining.

Well that was a nice stretch of games to get back Into things in the division.
This Gibson guy has been pretty good.
Rosario is raking right now.

Yeah, after a tough start, things are really looking up for this club. The movement on Romero's pitches is absolutlely frightening (as is Berrios' movement, although he's scuffling a little currently), and surprisingly Gibson is among the league leaders in "swings and misses". Safe to say this is no longer a pitch to contact staff anymore.
The offense is starting to come alive too. I love Mauer in the leadoff spot...not sure what took Mollie so long on that one. Escobar and Rosario are totally locked in. Just imagine how this offense could look if Buxton, Sano and Polanco all returned and played to their potential. I like what I'm seeing.

A sweep of the Cardinals and the pitching for the Twins was fantastic. Odarizzi had some very nice sacrifice bunts. Based on what I saw today he might be one of the best bunters that's been on this team in like 10 years.
It looks like Grossman is starting to come around also which is a nice development.
Escobar is making himself some money the last few months. Already this year he has 15 doubles and 7 HRs including a bomb today. He will cool off but I think the power is fairly real. Someone reported he came in even stronger this year.

I'm really impressed with how the Twins have bounced back after that miserable stretch of losses. And they don't even have a couple of their more dynamic players in the lineup, so looking forward to getting Buxton and Sano back into the fold.
