Wow, he posted this video just days after the Washington Post story dropped and detailed four incidents in which he was involved in conflicts in the last year, and in at least two of them guns were involved. What a lack of judgment.
Man, I'd love to see how his lawyer is going to spin this after all his "no evidence of a gun" claims in the original article.
If you haven't read the article I posted it in the "Around the League" thread. The incidents include: 1) him beating up a 17-year-old high schooler at his house and then getting a handgun directly afterward and putting his hand on it (tough not to interpret that as a threat), 2) the buddy pointing the gun at the Pacers personnel after the confrontation at the game that was widely reported on, 3) a confrontation with a security guy in a mall that was serious enough to warrant a police report, and 4) him and a group of others getting into a confrontation at a store when his mom called him about being in some kind of confrontation.
Disappointing.

But wait...is Tyus Jones still better than Morant?
One of the crazier takes this board has ever seen.
My source KC BBQ-Sauce just texted me that Memphis is now considering moving Ja for a massive package and turning the franchise over to Tyus.

Clarke out for the year with an injury
If the wolves get into the playoffs we might grizzlies, kings or nuggets. I really like 2 of those matchups
Losing Clarke is a huge loss. And who knows what is going to happen with Ja...he seems to be on a collision course with disaster. I think we beat Memphis easily if we're healthy and Clarke and Ja are out. But as Tim says in this thread, we need Memphis to beat some of the teams we're battling right now. This conference is so topsy turvy, it's hard to conclude whether this news helps us or hurts us. One thing we know for sure though...this young man needs to get some help, and soon.

Multiple sauces can confirm.

At least he hasn't called anyone Timmy Tommy tangerines or saying his teammates play like doo doo diarrhea yet. If only we had some insider reporting from Tommy Mayonnaise to get the real dirt on Morant.
Re: Morant
He was the future of the league and the pride from fame immediately consumed him. Apparently he is a suburban kid trying now to play street. The whole thing is crazy. I hope he hasnt done anything he cant repair.

I love the way he plays. But based on what I've read, I'm not rooting for him. It would be different if he grew up poor in the hood like so many NBA players. Then I'd be pulling for him to pull it together and grow out of the issues created by some really tough circumstances as a young boy. But learning more about Morant, I see exactly what you described, Doper - namely a suburban kid trying to play street. It's pathetic and inexcusable. I think he's an incredibly arrogant spoiled brat who gets off on flaunting and flexing his status as a wealthy, privileged NBA star.

If that were true, he'd hire security. Wealthy people do that.
If that were true, he wouldn't associate himself with people with absolutely nothing to lose. Wealthy people don't do that.
Ja just needs to have it register to him that not only is it ok to be a 23 year old millionaire square with a child, it's also the goal. Everyone else around him would literally kill to be in his position.
His parents need a sitdown too.

This, like many of your takes, makes no sense.
