Re: The next Timberwolves Coach

Austin Rivers has the same amount of connection to Connelly as Finch. Remember Finch was an assistant (associate head coach) with Denver. Also worth noting that Connelly kept Mike Malone for years and they had different personalities and it's been reported Connelly was more outside the box thinking and Malone was more ridged and it clearly worked. I think Finch overestimated what he was going to be able to do with Rudy on both ends of the floor. Fortunately I think he has enough flexibility to do some things different. Maybe not go pick and roll heavy but change things up. I do think Finch should be questioned but I do have some faith that he is still the right coach for the roster.
Meanwhile Rivers is making almost 3 million this year on just a vet min deal that wasn't fully guaranteed. It was just a few weeks ago he couldn't buy a bucket and now it looks like as Lip said he will have another few years making some decent/nice money in the league. Since he has been in the league so long even if he got just vet min deals for another 3 years that would probably be another 10 million. Not bad. :) If he keeps playing well this year he might be getting a decent raise from someone and right now as long as it's not to crazy I hope it's the Wolves.
