Wolves currently have 12 players that are a lock on roster (assuming no trades)
Dlo
Ant
Jmac
Kat
Jmac2
Nowell
Prince
Anderson
Naz
Moore
Forbes
(Minott)
(Knight)
?
I think Minott and Knight will be on roster next year. So I think the wolves might only have 1 roster spot left.
I hate the player but think okogie at the min might make some sense because our current guards are pretty weak at Defending smaller guards

Ibaka is coming off of a season in which he played 16.2 MPG over 54 games, basically solidifying himself as nothing more than a rotation player moving forward. He's no longer the athlete or shot-blocker that he was in his earlier years with Oklahoma City, but at 33-years old he's still a viable big on both ends of the floor. He made 37.4-percent of his three-point attempts last year on decent volume (37-99 3PA) and rebounded an estimated 22.2-percent of available defensive rebounds when he was on the floor, both of which are still very good. He'll also be over a full year removed from the back surgery that he had last summer, which may have contributed to his underwhelming season in relation to how he performed the prior year. And lastly, I don't think Ibaka will cost much. It's not sexy, but I think that would be an effective, low-risk addition.
If you want him to take up a roster spot, go for it. But I'm just telling you he wasn't a rotation player at the end of last year. Not in the playoffs and not in the regular season. And the Bucks could have really used an "effective" big on many occasions.

Likely saving the bi-annual. They'll need it more next year, I think. I'm expecting minimum exceptions to round out the roster.

Ahh, the cheerleader special. As the 14th or 15th man, that's not the worst thing.

I will give Greg Monroe a minimum contract. He will be a 3rd stringer but he can be plug in and contribute. He does 2 things well still and that is rebounding and post up scoring which we would need.
I assume the main backups are
Prince
Anderson
Naz
Nowell
Jmac/forbes
I can see Nowell as the lead guard doing the creating for the 2nd unit and we pair him with either Jmac(playmaking) or Forbes(shooting). Prince and Anderson are the forwards and Naz is the backup center. Anderson can provide secondary playmaking for the 2nd unit if we run Nowell as the main point guard with Forbes as the other guard.
Moore is the 12th guy
I will sign monroe and another point guard. The 15th spot will be between (knight/Minott with the other getting a 2 way deal)

Must get a point guard. Hopefully one that can start when needed.

- Cody Martin
- Caleb Martin
- Tomas Satoransky
- Serge Ibaka
- Hassan Whiteside
I've heard the Wolves have expressed interest in one of the Martin brothers.

I think they are probably planning to keep Knight as a 2-way player. Maybe some team offers him a fully guaranteed vet min contract. I really doubt it though. Either way the Wolves have essentially 2 more roster spots with 2-way contracts. They may not decide what to do with one of those till after summer league.

Potential 10-man rotation:
5 - Gobert/KAT/Reid
4 - KAT/Anderson/McDaniels
3 - McDaniels/Prince/Ant
2 - Ant/Nowell
1 - DLO/McLaughlin

I haven't thought about potential BAE targets. The world has change so quickly. My only thought is that this team should NOT be saving anything. This deal puts the Wolves in total win-now mode. I don't like it, but it's the reality. I wish they hadn't already used the full MLE on Anderson, but that's ok. They need to make the best use of the BAE right now in my view. Now when I see who's left in the free agent pool I might change my mind. :)
