It easily could. There's little to no risk involved. Potentially a big reward. Those moves often make GMs and coaches look like studs.

Why would he sign in minny for next to nothing. He just left almost 20 mil on the table in Mil, why would he do that if he didn't think he could get a substantial payday somewhere else?

I think he is a year from doing anything. I can see where the NBA game would be pretty demanding during the season. Any idea how many off days they get during a season? Number of 2 days breaks etc. It wouldn't be ideal for having any balance in your life, but hopefully it sets you up for a lot of freedom in the future. Maybe Larry has what he needs and was done with it.

OK, Larry Sanders... if it's not about the money... give it ALL back. Or, at the very least, give back the amount you were set to make if you stuck with basketball. Instead, he's reportedly getting $22M for playing 1+ years on the $44M deal... much of that time spent out of action for brawling at a nightclub. (And, I'm sure it's only a coincidence that he derailed AFTER signing for $44M.)

I'm usually easier on athletes than most. We don't know much about these guys off the court, so making assumptions is difficult. But it sure seems like Sanders is trying to hide/justify the fact that he flaked. And if he does have a mental illness of some sort, which I think is definitely possible, I hope he realizes it and gets the help he deserves (other than the mass amounts of cannabais he's smoking to "treat" his condition.) Because that's not enough...

Beasley could sound great in staged interviews. So could Ricky Williams. Royce White. Even (gasp!) Rashad McCants. To me, when their actions contradict what they're saying... it sure seems disingenuous.

Why wouldnt Sanders be reinvented here in Minnesota? The guy played three years on the worst team int he league, and never had a legit Vet to guide him. IS this a possible KG mentoriship scenario?

Slim, he's just not worth it. I've watched him a lot. Can't keep his head on right and can't stay healthy when he does.

Maybe KG could have mentored Thad.
