I'll be honest, I don't recall Flip talking about Gobert, but I could see that. But Dieng was much more polished offensively and still had plenty of length and shotblocking presence defensively, and came from a very good system, so I'm sure that had to do with it too. But I definitely see the irony.

What was the actual trade? Where did that money go from selling the pick?

Because usually when a team sells a pick just to give the OWNER an extra $million or three... it's not done for the betterment of the team.

20+ other teams passed on him too so im not mad at all. I do usually draft him with one of last picks when I do a fantasy draft on NBA 2k tho :/
