The pass protection was good. Bizarre.

I didn't see this coming. Great game by Vikings. We cooked the Saints.

The Saints D hasn't been good for years so while that was a great game by the line I wouldn't buy in just yet!

Nice way to open the season, I cannot think of anything outside of another missed point after that wasn't positive! Typical Vikings, build up the hope early in the season before they crush your soul late! :D

One week at a time. The offense looked much improved for sure.

I saw a play where Mackenzie Alexander was in near the goal line. He had no idea where to lineup and a teammate was yelling at him and trying to help him. The Saints snapped the ball and ran it. That would have been ugly if they passed it. Whoever he was to cover would have been wide open.

Cook struggled a bit in catching passes. He dropped of bobbled a few balls. I think that will go away with more reps though.

Yeah that was an issue. I'm not that worried about it though it was a strength of his game coming out of college.

The question is do the Saint have a slot receiver? They don't have a lot and to be honest I didn't see whoever was covering the slot get burned too bad all game but I only watched the condensed game. Thanks for the info on that goal one play.

I missed something too. I was completely confused about what happened.

I don't think they do. It was just odd he came in on goal line because I didn't see him the rest of the game and then he basically was in the way on a run play. I think Newman played most of the game in slot. Waynes was solid. I am not a fan of Gedeon. I know they love him, but he seems like he would be best in short yardage situations. Brothers is just better in space so maybe he is the answer short term, but he really just seems like more of a speical teams guy, but honestly, this team needs another LB. Even if it is to push Barr.

I DVRd the game and watched late last night...you can fast forward and watch a football game in an hour! I was confused also, but here's what the play by play on ESPN says. AP got 9 on first down, and then 1 on second down...didn't look like it to me, but maybe there was some forward progess we couldn't see.
