I understand your thinking, Kahns. I can't say it's wrong. But my take is a bit different. I think Glen Taylor's obligation is to the organization and especially the fans who ultimately provide the team's income. Glen owes the team and its fans the best chance of success and I think that requires the organization to at least consider replacing Ryan with one of the far more qualified head coaching candidates who've become available. Given his age and credentials (or lack thereof), Ryan should consider himself fortunate to be an NBA assistant.

I don't think Ryan deserves a fair shake. Time is ticking with KAT, can't just waste a season to hope Ryan becomes an average head coach

Take Maxey. Calipari is almost never wrong with his guys.

Sad, but probably true. But that's what you get from bad front office executives.

Once again hard to know. I mean Jimmy might be the best player on a title team. Leading a team that age wise very similar to the Wolves. It's just everything compounds with the wolves

I doubt that very much. If Glen Taylor didn't get involved, the Wolves would have traded Andrew Wiggins in a package for Jimmy Butler. I'll believe that until the end of time based on everything I've read. Minnesota would have had to decide if Jamal Murray and Zach LaVine could coexist defensively in the backcourt, alongside Jimmy Butler, but this franchise has had much worse problems than that.
Murray, LaVine, Butler, Taj Gibson, and Karl-Anthony Towns probably win 45-plus games, right?

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, James Young, Malik Monk, Isaiah Briscoe, Hamidou Diallo, Kevin Knox...
Yes, there is just as long of a list of highly-touted guards/wings that left Kentucky and were fantastic. Simply taking Tyrese Maxey because of the affiliation would be ludicrous, though. He wasn't all that good last year either. I'll pass.

Yeah, I agree with kek here. I don't think it was fair that Ryan Saunders even got the head coaching job to begin with. My stance on that is well-known. The Wolves owe him absolutely nothing besides a phone call telling him that he's been removed from the position and good luck in the future.

The thing about Murray is that he was a solid, but fairly unspectacular, player until literally this year's playoffs. Go look at his numbers the last few regular seasons - solid and steady. He's blown up before our eyes.
