I don't care what any star says regarding staying any more. They've all proven that can change on a dime and that's ok. Taking Giannis at his word on the night his team was eliminated from the playoffs is a little gullible to me. That's the only thing he can say in that situation so I'm not gonna put any stock in it. The one advantage the Bucks have is this is going to be a short and unusual offseason so he's not going to have a ton of time to plot a move to another team for next year. It's also going to make trading for him that much harder.

Indeed. The list is too long.

The Bucks are in a unique position. With the present day rules of free agency and star players uniting in large, more glamorous markets, the Bucks don't have much choice, The only way they can contend is to luck in to a transcendent player (Giannis) and put all their resources into winning for as long as they can keep him. That might not happen again for another 30 years. Whether he signs a super max extension or not, they should keep him and try another run next season. It will probably be their last shot for quite a while. And yes, not signing Brogdon was a terrible move. Would a big market team ever give up a talent like that for salary reasons?

Dallas kind of broke up the team the season after winning a title. Outside of that... probably not.

And I don't know how much larger Phoenix is... but Sarver ruined those Suns teams with his cheapness (e.g., Joe Johnson and other moves)

I was going to agree with Abe that you'd have to throw in KAT to get Milwaukee to consider entertaining it...and even then I think they'd probably say no. I'd love to get Giannis in a Wolves uni, but I don't think there's any way it could happen..even if we told them to create their own trade (i.e. KAT+Russell+#1+#17+2023 unprotected 1st) it's still probably more likely than not that they'd turn it down. Giannis is in rarified air and you don't let players like that go via trade.
