Is Rosas really in the same league as Kahn?
Re: Is Rosas really in the same league as Kahn?
When I look back at Kahn, I think the only significant move he made that turned out to be a good one was drafting Ricky Rubio at #5. After that, beginning with taking Flynn over Curry, it was pretty much down hill with one blunder after another.'
In contrast, as others have noted, Rosas's tenure here has thus far been a mixed bag. While I question his performance in his two drafts and have a issue with his unyielding devotion to a particular style of play, I like that Rosas has focused on building a core of players around the same age as KAT. I also like that the front office under Rosas has identified and thus far stuck with some undrafted young talent in Naz Reid and JMac. I just hope they re-sign JMac.

David Kahn should also get credit for drafting Nemanja Bjelica. Oh, and he was determined to help facilitate some pretty big acquisitions around the league. Don't forget that the Wolves acquired Anthony Randolph in the blockbuster Carmelo Anthony trade. Kahn also traded two second-round picks for Michael Beasley which opened up just enough cap space for the Miami Heat to sign LeBron James and Chris Bosh as free agents. One could argue that Kahn helped change the entire league with those moves and his tragic mistake in not drafting Steph Curry back in 2009. Who knows what the NBA would look like without the guy?

Lol. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Cam. Yes, David Kahn had quite an impact on the League. :)

OMG, this is so Wolves-esque. Basically we're the franchise that enables others to thrive. And we do it both on the basketball floor by being an easy opponent AND the front office by providing the grist needed for other front offices to get big deals done. Oy vey!!!

Bjelica might one of very few Wolves players whom turned out to be the best player available for his draft position. Only Lance Stephenson has had better career than Belly from the players picked behind him but he is already out of league and Belly is still improving at least based on his stats.

Others to consider: Jeremy Lin, Ish Smith and Boban went undrafted that year.

Had we moved forward with Wiggins and the previous roster, minus Jimmy Buckets, this team would have looked the same except adding Anthony Edwards. We would already know the result, and all our hopes would be pinned on one guy.
Now, we get to see how all these young, yet talented, players can fit together. A year ago at this time, we had a bunch of 1 year cap minimum players bound for big minutes to determine who will be part of the future of this team. Fast forward to this year, we still have guys that we are needing to figure out if they fit, however with much more talented pieces, and guys we could get something on the trade market for. RoCo was nice, but not on the timeline of our young guys, we needed to inject new blood and keep throwing things at the wall until they stick.

If he missed on Edwards this year, then he is worse than David Kahn.
David at least had a great trade and one good pick..

Easily Pekovic for me.

Both Dragic and DeAndre Jordan are much better than Pekovic and were selected later in same draft.
