He turns 23 in a few days but still plenty young given where his game is.
Honestly I don't think I can give a real answer to this question. I want 30 more games to evaluate some of these guys. If Embiid is healthy I'd take him but that's a pretty big question mark. Maybe last night is a turning point for Towns defense. That's the most significant thing holding him back from being a transcendent player.
Also Porzingis should be an option.
I forgot about Porzingis. My top candidates from my list with Porzingis added are Giannis, KAT, Simmons, Embiid and Porzingis.
After looking at the teams here are some other names that are worthy of the list:
Kyrie
Jokic
Anthony Davis
I have Kyrie in my list above. I left off Jokic intentionally, but my omission of AD was inadvertent. But I'd still put John Collins ahead of both Kyrie and AD. :)

Lol. Just like you, Bleed, to kick a man when he's down. But the season's still young. By the end of the season Ball's FG percentage might be all the way up to 35%. So don't count him out yet. :)

My Fultz pick isn't looking so hot either lol

Bloop -- Let's just say Simmons was our #1 guy from the beginning. Tell a lie once and it's a lie. But tell it enough and it becomes the truth. :) (By the way, sorry I called you Bleed.).

Giannis is the safe pick. Same with KAT.
I gambled and went with Embiid. The dude is a monster and IF healthy will be the best player on the list.

Oh, and when Porzingis was making noise last season I was hoping we would somehow trade Wiggins for him. Not sure they would have done that though. I would have over KAT and Zinger playing next to each other.

Fair enough! If you were starting a franchise how many guys would have to be off the board before you consider Marcus Smart? I know it would be quite a few but damn I would want that guy setting a tone. He turns 24 in March.

I came here to start a Marcus Smart thread... and then I read this. F it. I'm still starting that thread... it's worth it. The guy is amazing...
Good. Bad. Ugly. Magical. All in one.
