What if the Butler trade never happened? What if we had KAT, Zach, Andrew, and Ant all here right now? What if they were coached by Finch? Of course we will never know the answers to those questions, but it's fun to ponder. Congrats Wig, I couldn't be happier.

The "what if" game can get dangerous for Minnesota fans, but the Wolves are in a really good place right now and moving forward. We very likely wouldn't have Anthony Edwards, Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and Jaden McDaniels had the Jimmy Butler trade never happened. We're also objectively better with D'Angelo Russell than we were with Andrew Wiggins because of the different strengths and mentalities those two have, and their records next to Karl-Anthony Towns speak to this.

I'm happy that Andrew Wiggins can have this career achievement to celebrate -- even though he doesn't necessarily deserve it -- but Minnesota ended up in a really good situation without him.

Kinda yuck.

Granted, I don't watch the game, so it's not a big deal to me personally. And the guy is playing much better. But others do care about this stuff. And even money is on the line.

And Andrew Wiggins is NOT an NBA starter for 30 of the 32 NBA teams. He's not even an All Star Reserve if playing in about 16 - 22 of those cities.

What pisses me off is that he's become the exact kind of 3&D role player we could use on the wing, at too great of a price however (how the hell can Golden State afford Curry, Green, Klay, and Wiggins anyway?).

But watching him last night, it was pretty infuriating seeing him easily swish 3's after spending six seasons with the Wolves as a 33% shooter.

We took all the shitty play from Wiggins and now GS gets the best version of what he has learned from his shit with the Wolves. We were like the G league squad. At least DLO hasn't been a let down, so its not like he totally ass reamed us.

I'm just thinking of how LaVine and Wiggins will be All Stars and we are left with none.

Wiggins was never going to be an All Star here. And it's not a surprise that the talented player found more success elsewhere.

Heck, he left one of the most dysfunctional/worst franchises for one of the most stable/best franchises.

And there's no way that Lavine + Wiggins + Towns were going to be all stars while playing together. That's a lot of young guys on the same "timeline" that would also be seeking acclaim, contracts, endorsements, accolades, chicks, et al. It can get dicey.

Q, the Warriors payroll this season is $179 million, and they will pay almost as much in luxury tax...$160 million! Joe Lacob and Peter Guber are worth over $2 billion combined, and they've decided to dig into those deep pockets to bring championships to the Bay Area.

The good news is the Wolves new ownership has a comparable combined net worth, but more importantly, might be more willing than Taylor and his minority partners to pay the lux tax...just guessing. If we think our Big Three plus one more key piece might be enough to make us contenders (and granted, the jury is still out) we know we will have big cap issues when it's Ant's time to get paid. Let's hope Lore/ARod will pony up.

Yeah, my rant isn't about us trading Wiggins, as I agree he needed the change in scenery where he could be an overpaid role player - and he's thriving in that role.

My rant is about the fact that OF COURSE he starts shooting the ball way better with another team. So tired of seeing guys leave our franchise and shoot better with other franchises. Meanwhile, Beasley has become a shell of what he was when he first joined the Wolves. My guess is he'll suddenly regain his stroke with his next team.

OK, I like Wig and acknowledge he's having a very nice season. He's shooting the ball very well and guarding the opponent's best wing every night for the best defensive team in the association. But I think we can all agree that he should not be starting in the all-star game!

What I didn't know is that a K-Pop star (and I know we have some huge K-pop fans here) with millions of followers was the main reason for Wig getting so many votes. More reason "fans" should have no role in choosing the all stars.
