Karl-Anthony Towns (1-7 FG) is uncharacteristically struggling offensively, but he's been gritty on the defensive interior. To offset his scoring woes tonight, the Wolves have leaned on their guard play and they've answered the call through the first half as they lead 72-62.

D'Angelo Russell: 17 points (4-7 FG, 2-5 3P, 7-7 FT) and six assists (one turnover) in 17 minutes

Anthony Edwards: 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3P, 3-4 FT) and three assists (one turnover) in 17 minutes

Jaylen Nowell: 12 points (4-4 FG, 1-1 3P, 3-3 FT) in nine minutes

These uniforms are by far the best Minnesota has to offer. Need to make them the primaries moving forward and make a white alternate.

I haven't said his name, but he's deserving of recognition thus far. Jaden McDaniels has been excellent defensively.

Edit: He's been fine offensively as well. I just want to note his defense because he's been matched up on James Harden and hasn't accumulated fouls like we've seen him struggle with.

DLo has really matured as a basketball player this year.

D-Lo's been the best player on the court tonight.

Up 15, baby! It's been all Wolves, all the time tonight. Letting their defense fuel their offense. Love it.

Nets are making a strong run here behind some tough shot-making. Wolves need to respond and close out the third quarter.

This has been one of my favorite Jaden McDaniels games and I'm typically pretty critical of him.
