Camden0916 wrote:After seeing this thread last night I tried to search for this board on Google and like mrhockey alluded to I had difficulty finding it that way. The best I could do was find a Reddit thread from 2017 where fans were sharing their favorite Wolves forums and there was some love for us here on Enjin, which included the URL.

Once again, this would ideally be a topic where the admin could hop in and discuss, but we haven't seen JD in many years. Does anyone know if there's a way to request admin privileges from Enjin directly? I know an admin can give other users admin rights, but that doesn't appear to be an option.

I sent them a note a year ago about admin privileges and didnt get a response.

Yeah, I just submitted a ticket request. We'll see what happens. Hopefully they get back to me and we can figure this out.

I know that an admin can grant other users admin privileges, and I would spread that around to ensure this problem doesn't occur in the future, but I'm not sure how to go about that if the current admin is no longer available. Enjin support should be able to handle that. I guess we'll see.

Related or not...

I started a new job recently. The board is blocked by its firewall. It considers it "gaming."

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Enjin Support!

We cannot transfer ownership of a site to you if you're not an admin of the site.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do for you. :)

Best regards,
Enjin Support

This was the response I just got from Enjin Support in regards to granting me admin privileges. I'm not sure what the solution will be with that in the future considering the current admin is unaccounted for. I would hate for us to lose the site one day as a result of that.

Well, one option might be to create a new Enjin site where you are the administrator and name it fairly closely to the current one. Then post a message on the old one (i.e. the one we're on now) to re-direct folks to the new one. We'd lose all the old threads, but oh well....

Sounds like Camden found the same Reddit post I did. Funny thing, that's the same post I used to get back to the site just now. I decided to go ahead and bookmark it. Like someone mentioned, if this site did go down, I wondered where people would flock to. I actually looked at the RealGM Wolves board initially when I was trying to find it and couldn't a month or so ago, but saw no mention/post about it going down.

Happy New Year's Even boys!

I'm going to look into creating a backup Enjin site that closely resembles this one in case this one were to crash somehow.

It needs to be you, q,or lip. Eventually this site will shut down due to JD not accessing it. One of you three should get a head start.

Hell, I'd be for starting fresh with a new Enjin site and then go on the other Wolves boards out there and market it as a secondary place if folks are looking for some other perspectives. Cam has already started the process of creating a new site. We'd effectively mothball this one and point people to the new location with our final thread. That's my 2-cents.
