I might be getting greedy hoping the Wolves with KAT can steal tonight's game. They'd need a repeat of last night from Anthony Edwards and Jarrett Culver plus better showings from just about everybody. Oddly, the Lakers were a 10-point favorite yesterday when Anthony Davis' status was more of a question. Today, they're only a 9.0-point favorite with him being ruled out. I guess we'll see.

It certainly seemed like a schedule win for the Lakers at the beginning of the season. They're still a deep roster without AD. Im already pumped after Edwards and Culver's game last night. It does seem like a lot to ask to expect them to repeat that performance. KAT's going to need a huge performance.

KAT might be due for a 30/15/5 type of game if his hand isn't too bad.

Towns will be listed as out for tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers and will be further evaluated weekly as he undergoes treatment to return to play. He will not require surgery.

FUCK.

Yep. I'm guessing he will be out at least a month. The same thing happened last year

The only good thing is that this team has plenty of guys that are willing to put up shots without him in the lineup. Scoring can be replaced although there will be a hit to our efficiency. Naz Reid just has to continue to play good defense. We have enough guard play to be competitive.

In a way, I'm happy for Naz Reid. Let me explain. The guy was a five-star high school recruit -- 22nd best overall -- and the third-best power forward prospect in the country before committing to LSU. He produced adequately in his lone collegiate year, but it was kind of a disappointing season for a guy that was as highly-touted as he was. He also didn't properly take care of his body and there were concerns about him defensively. All of that led him to fall in the 2019 NBA Draft eventually going undrafted.

Fast forward to now and he's solidified his place as a legitimate rotation player who has taken the NBA game seriously. His body looks much better from last year to this year and he's corrected many of his defensive deficiencies. Now he's going to have an opportunity to play more minutes nightly in a much bigger role than he could have asked for, and hopefully he'll show out. His basketball career has gone full circle.
