I had 5 game ML parlay last night. This was the last game to it. I had the Hornets, shut off the computer when Barnes had an "And 1" to go to the line to make it a 9 pt game with 53 seconds left. It was awesome to see them come back. Had it at 15-1
Ricky Rubio's quotes are spot on, but they mean little because they're coming from him. He's been saying things like this all season. The interesting thing is that nobody seems to care and Rubio himself hasn't done anything to change or improve his game. His teammates will likely hear or read those comments and roll their eyes and think "make a shot, Ricky" or "stop getting beat on defense." The best players on the team should be saying the kinds of things he said, not the backup point guard who's had a down season.
There is literally no one on the coaching staff or roster that has the credibility and gravitas to call anyone out and that includes KAT. Yes, he's our best player and a true vet now, but he is underachieving like nearly everyone else and has never proven himself capable as a leader of men. May be that changes eventually, but obviously his presence has done nothing to help us win more games. And you guys already covered Rubio.
This team will have to grow its way out of this mess organically with existing or future players that can single-handedly change a franchise (like MJ did for the Bulls or Curry and Green did for Golden State) or somehow find a dynamite owner that can completely revamp things from top to bottom and changes the culture and expectations going forward.
