I'd assume David Vanterpool finally gets his shot. He's interviewed for other head coaching positions throughout the league. This is at least an audition for him heading into the off-season. I can't imagine anyone else on that bench getting the opportunity over him nor is it conceivable that they'd bring someone from the outside in.

Chris Finch was an assistant in Houston for five years. My first reaction is that this is nepotism with a twist. He's probably buddy buddy with Gersson Rosas.

Of course he's linked to Houston, a team that was largely built off of the singular talent of James Harden and with no discernible offensive system other than switch-hunting for Harden and whichever other ball handler he was paired with. Let's hope Finch learned something while in Toronto because I think we've gotten about as much juice as possible out of the Houston connections.
