Agreed. Hassan Whiteside got the vet min this season from Sacramento. I think Drummond partly because of his age will get something higher than that but yeah unless he shows something more he isn't going to be getting big money...or anywhere near even mid-level money.

Would I like the Wolves signing Drummond on a cheap contract? Yes. Playoffs? If he helps us get there great. If he is targeted there fine he will be paid like a backup and we can figure out some way to upgrade in some way if needed.


I'd be fine with Drummond on a cheap-ish deal and around 20 MPG. Again, there is value in simply throwing a really big body out there early in halves to absorb fouls and protect KAT. But make no mistake, KAT needs to be our Center during crunch time.

A couple other things about Drummond. He turns 28 next month and is a poor FT shooter. I just looked up Steven Adam's FT shooting. I didn't realize he was that horrible. I wouldn't hate Javele McGee for the vet min but I would hope for someone else. Do you think Dieng is going to get more than the vet min?
