Couldn't sleep (it's 2:30 am here), so I fired up League Pass to watch a bit of live Wolves, and whoa, we're looking pretty good.

Naz, Edwards, Ricky, all with some nice plays. And what a dunk from Okogie! The guys on the bench jumped up like they were possessed and were still bouncing around when the ball came back on the next possession. When this team is energized, these guys are capable of playing well. Nice to see.

I wish Edwards and KAT would use two hands to pass the ball a bit more often.

One thing Ant could get better at is posting up. He just had Kemba on him in the post and didn't get position to receive the entry pass, and I've seen him pass it out of the post when he had an obviously smaller guy on him as well. He's got the size and skill that he should be able to get a high-percentage shot or draw a foul in situations like that.

Minnesota leads by nine at the half on the backs of Ricky Rubio, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Anthony Edwards. The Wolves just might have their big three of the future.

For those wondering at home, Rubio's on quadruple-double watch with two points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Will we see history made tonight? Gee, I sure hope so.

McDaniels looked like he might have been getting a bit defensive with Finch there after the turnover at the end of Q2. Juancho looked like he was putting his arm around him to calm him down. Maybe I'm being sensitive given his history at Washington, but I'd hate to see any bad attitude from him given the promise he's shown on the court.

Tough way to end an otherwise nice half of basketball.

Sadly, looks like I'm alone here. My first GDT in a long time and nobody's here. : ( Bummer.

EDIT: Ahh, there are a few guys here! I'm probably going back to bed though.

I don't remember him being great at post ups, although I do remember him shooting like 92% of the time he touched the ball and yeah, now that you mention it, he really did seem to try to get as close to the basket as possible before shooting. But he did that even when he had a much bigger defender on him. That dude never met a shot he didn't like.

I just want Ant to learn how to post up a bit and recognize when he's got a much smaller guy on him close enough to the post and try to execute it. There have been a few times when he had a mismatch and I wish he had backed down his guy rather than try a really difficult layup. And especially when he's off the ball and, as in that case, could have easily sealed off Kemba behind him right on the block to receive the pass. It would've been very likely to lead to 2 points or free throws.

This game needs more Ricky Rubio. His plus-nine leads all players tonight and he's clearly been the best player on the floor. 18 minutes isn't enough for him. Chris Finch needs to wake up and put his best player back on the floor.
