I heard this Jordan story by someone I think on ESPN. He was played golf 36 holes and lost 20 thousand to this guy not to mention he drank like 12 beers at least. He had to play a Bulls game that night so he asked the guy to go double or nothing on the game that night he was playing in. But he had to score 40 points too. He scored 50 some and they easily covered the spread. Kind of a crazy story but I also remember hearing about MJ going to casinos a lot too. He was so good he could score 50 half drunk and tired.
I believe everything but the drinking part. That guy was too competitive when he played golf (or cards or basketball or baseball...) to drink all that much.

Yeah who knows, maybe he just had a few, but you know how stories go. It gets exaggerated over the years.
The only other thing I can think is the other guy is drinking heavily too so it's sort of part of the bet, or you have to drink a beer every time you lose a hole or something. lol I know Jordan was always known as a big time gambler so any gambling story is hard to not imagine though.
