OKC/SA GDT
Re: OKC/SA GDT
I think they may have an argument Westbrook was fouled.
Re: OKC/SA GDT
What is Howard doing in studio for?!?
Re: OKC/SA GDT
Asked to explain his tremendous rebounding as a guard and Westbrook replies, "you've gotta want it." Right on. I've heard Kevin Love and KG say the same thing about rebounding. So much of it is effort and intensity. If Thibs can unlock or instill some fire and intensity in Wiggins, he should be a tremendous rebounder with his length and athleticism.
Re: OKC/SA GDT
I watched the last 6 minutes of the Spurs OKC game. Spurs just couldn't score enough down the stretch. Should have given the ball to Leonard more IMO.
I'm wanting the Spurs to win it all but the farther OKC goes the more likely Durant stays and I want him to stay.
Too many people in the NBA (and other places too) whine. The Spurs do it plenty but I wish a lot of these guys would shut up and play. One of the best players I have ever played with would just go off and was quite frankly a bad sport at times. He was/is a hell of a PG and off the court was a great guy and a good PE teacher and coach. Even though he cooled down as he aged and knew he had a problem...there were still issues. Lol I get it though these guys are hyper competitive and they know the game.

Yuck!! Interesting that he's sitting in for Shaq who repeatedly trashes him.

I know it's unfair because Leonard has done so much to improve his game and it's unexpected but it's pretty easy watching him and think if Leonard can become this I have hope for Wiggins to become something pretty good from where he is at.

I really hope Tibs can tap into Wigs competitiveness. His improvement on the boards would be huge for this team. For reasons like that I'm hesitant to make a big splash in free agency or a trade. I think it makes sense to see how all these young guys improve with a legit NBA coach coaching them up.

I'm on the opposite side of the Durant coin. If I was a general NBA fan, I'd want him to stay in Oklahoma City and win there. As a selfish Minnesota fan, I'd like to see him go to Washington or Miami. One less superstar in the West would be nice, especially considering OKC's in our division. With him gone, I don't see the Thunder being a real contender, which bodes well for us on the come up.
It would also be poetic justice for Thunder management. They built such an impressive roster, but then absolutely botched the rest of the process. I'm not mocking an NBA Finals appearance, because that is impressive, but only getting there one time with the amount of talent they had at one time is underwhelming.
I'm also tired of Durant trying to be a villain and a good guy at the same time. Make up your mind on the persona you want to portray. The KD that cried and told his teammates that they were the real MVP wouldn't have told the media that he wasn't going to tell them how he feels after a playoff loss. Give me a break.
To conclude, yes please, Kevin Durant. Get out of the Northwest Division. Take your talents to the nation's capital and reunite with Scottie Brooks. Sounds like a win to me.

Good post.
I think the way to lock or unlock Wiggins is via his brain. Wiggins is a guy that seems to be a guy that thinks the game. Thibs should be able to get through to Wiggins on that level at least defensively. Thibs has had guys develop under him so it's not far fetched he can get something out of this young roster. It's gonna be interesting to see how it turns out.
