A few NBA players with Covid.
Seth Curry - 8 games. 14 days.
Jayson Tatum - 5 games. 15 days.
Michael Porter Jr. - 10 games. 19 days.
Maxi Kleber - 11 games. 18 days.
Hachimura - 3 games. 18 days.
Karl Anthony-Towns - 13+ games. 25+ days.
To be fair... obviously Towns has a unique sad history with the virus + it could be mental + it affects people differently + he may not even be fully recovered from his wrist injury. Any of those could be factors.
It's also possible that winning is not the top priority for this organization. Personally, if I truly felt my job was on the line, I'd treat these games as must-win games. Apparently, that's not the case for many right now. I can think of fewer than 5 occasions when this organization acted like a game was a "must-win" in the past 17 seasons.
Maybe only two or three games.

I've been looking to see if DLO is wearing any extra protection on one of his quads and haven't been able to find it. If it's just a contusion (which was the report) he should be playing,. No biggie for me though, I know I'll enjoy the game more without him.

I think KAT came back way too early from his wrist injury. His extended absence could have something to do with that. Or perhaps they did a heart scan that revealed an enlarged heart, which is a fairly common aftermath of Covid infections even when symptoms are mild. KAT's family seems particularly vulnerable to this disease, which might be genetic. So let's not jump to conclusions. Given that KAT came back from his wrist injury when he could only play essentially with one hand, it's a little hysterical to jump to the conclusion that KAT or the organization is being overly cautious in bringing him back after his Covid diagnosis.

I do think to go along with Kat family history with Covid and being extra careful. I do think the Wolves are soft tanking a little bit. Dlo sitting out a winnable b2b game, Kat being sat out even though he is working out with the team (I 100% get it and not judging it), the reason why I think its more of a soft tank is Hernangomez has not returned yet and he was cleared to play a week ago. I know Hernangomez sucks but I think him not being active is the wolves trying to soft tank what is actually so stupid.
In my heart of heart I think Rosas really wants to lose this year because he has the Kat and Dlo don't play together excuse. Get a top 3 pick to go all in. If the Wolves play ok, lets say get the 7th pick next year (goes to the Warriors), the Wolves at best will be fighting for a play in game spot (Assuming not massive improvments out of Mcdaniels, edwards, nowell or Naz) and Rosas will be fired after next season if he can get a top 3 pick go all in and if it doesn't work, he won't care because he won't be here to deal with all the picks he will have traded away.

I've been very vocal about this... I think Rosas has been as strategic (or more) in extending his run as the head guy of the Timberwolves as he has been about winning games thus far.
Note: Hernangomez has been out for as long as Towns has been out. As for the extra rest... I think I just read something about the Wolves having a well-respected guy running all-things-Covid related. So if that's true, maybe he's in the know or extra cautious or whatever. In any case, we'll know for certain what's going on the next time somebody stubs his toe and is out for 5 months.]

Well, that helps a lot. But cool, I don't even see SGA on the injury list anymore, so I might be looking hard at that Thunder - 1 1/2.

All of their guards are back. I never bet against the Wolves, so I'll be sitting this one out
