SO,

A 6th man that can get points in a hurry who isnt a total turnstyle on defense (ideally a combo guard).

Graham/Okogie offrtg 90.8 drtg 105.9
Okogie/Culver offrtg 96.7 drtg 100
Graham/Culver offrtg 100.8 drtg 103.8

Then a bigger stretch 4 that can defend

We can move roco to the 3 which wil increase our spacing.

Do you think it's possible KBD can fill this role?

I liked him better than okogie last year.

I dont think hes all that talented, but he is so smart on the court and understands his role. I think we need guys like that next to kat and wiggs.

Wiggs legit looks for him on cuts and kick outs because kbd knows where to be. I think he studies a lot of film on the tendencies of our own players.

Ive liked kbds game for a while. He isnt flashy, but really solid, very tyus like.

Nowell is the guy id like to mold into our own vinnie microwave johnson.

Kind of dating yourself with the microwave comment.

Wait...people don't use microwaves anymore?! It's official I'm old now.

But seriously I was thinking Nowell might be that 6th man scorer also.

Ideally, a kendrick nunn or devonte graham would be ideal fit next to wigg at the guard spots. Im envious of the heat and hornets for having those two lock up. Nunn is the 3 and d guard with playmaking skills we all would love and graham has more potential as a lead guard with elite 3pt shooting or 3rd star in this squad.

I do like the young core we have with culver, okogie, kbd, nowell, reid and martin. I think Novell seems to have the most potential to be that cheap but legit contributor ala dunn/devonte graham for us down the road. I expect more from culver due to his draft position and I think he will be a solid starter. Kbd has been impressive and I hope he can sustain his play and be that combo forward for us.

Yeah, Graham and Nunn have kind of come out of nowhere.

I think Okogie has a place on this team, but it's just hard to envision him being anything other than a bench energizer bunny and defender without an outside shot. And while I like Culver too, it's hard to have multiple guys that can't shoot in the rotation. And between the two, Okogie is the better player for now. It's just a killer offensively to have those two and Graham playing half the guard minutes for this team.

I agree that Nowell has perhaps the most potential to be that outside sniper and scorer with a solid all-around game.

We need a very good player or 2 to be our 3rd and 4th best players on this team.

I don't think that person on the team.

I wouldn't call Culvers shot broken as much as just inconsistent. The shot itself mechanically looks good, he just misses wildly at times due to more then likely either a mental block, thinking too much, confidence, or lack of actual reps at game speed. When you practice you should be doing so like you are in a game situation. Running the floor, etc.

I know Anthony Tolliver mentioned this as well who is one of the best 3P shooters. Culver can become one, he needs the proper work put in. Maybe some confidence boost will come too.

Just to show you how far he needs to go with that shot...

Culver's 42.1% ft is the worst in the league for guys shooting more than 1 per game.

Next up are centers, Stephen Adams and Clint Capela, at 46.3% and 46.9%. The closest guard on the list is fellow rookie, RJ Barrett at 53.3%.

Both young players have a long way to go...

We'll see. We've seen many young players come through this franchise with shooting issues and they never get fixed, no matter how much they work at it: Corey Brewer, Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson, Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, and Josh Okogie, just to name a few.
