I'd love for Bazz to resign and think it might be more realistic than a lot of people think. The markets dried up and staying put another year might be the best option for Bazz as Lip has outlined above. He can test the market again next year. If he makes further improvements on his defence and 3pt shooting then he might draw more attention next off season.

Sign Mike Dunleavy (or Brandon Rush) and Aaron Brooks and call it an offseason.

Teague / Jones / Brooks
Wiggins / Crawford / George-Hunt (2 way)
Butler / Muhammad / Dunleavy / Brown (2 way)
Dieng / Bjelica / Patton
Towns / Gibson / Aldrich

One reason a lot of players don't like signing cheap value deals is they can almost immediately become trade bait. This offseason so few guys signed deals that were basically longer than 2 years this offseason. If freaking Jonathon Simmons was only getting 6 million per (non guaranteed 3rd year) there is no way any team is gonna be offering anything more than 4 million per (unless is for 1 year maybe a little more) if even that for Bazz. I have bias because I want him back but I also think it's a stone cold reality. Honestly I think his ceiling of money he will get this season is like 4.2 million on a 1 year deal from someone. I'm honestly not sure anyone is gonna end up offering that much for him. Waiters didn't even get that much last year and it's easy to argue he was coming off a more useful season with a higher ceiling and I am not really a Waiters guy.

I hope you're right, Monster. I really want Bazz back. My top FA picks for for our final 3 roster spots are Bazz, Dunleavy and Aaron Brooks.

Kiwi FWIW word is Georges-Hunt is a guy that teams actually want on their roster so he is unlikely going to be an option for a 2-way player. A few teams wanted to claim him when Orlando waived him (I suppose the Wolves were one) but they didn't have cap room to claim him. Wolfson said he had other offers and picked the Wolves because at this point he has a better opportunity.

I've been watching a Cavs Pacers game from late last season. In the first half so liked what a I saw of Brooks. He was pretty feisty and the bench group held its own including Brooks playing off the ball with Lance playing well as the primary ball handler. We could do worse. I wonder what role we would promise him (Tyus may beat him out for the backup job) and how that would effect him consider coming here. Kendall Marshall is a guy that would be interesting to add and gives you some decent size at either guard spot.

Interesting. Remember he switched to Rich Paul after Rob Pelinka got the Lakers job.

Further Shabazz M. buzz: he's looking to switch agents, so his FA plot thickens. Will have more on this week's 'Scoop' podcast. #Twolves
